So i bought some 6 1/2 infinty 6002i or whatever they are and they guy at car toys says ya they will fit sure...so i mthink great go to install them find out i have to have a bracket made to get the screws lined up im pissed...and im not paying any money to car toys to get them...anyone have suggestion?

okay i'm getting confuse, I think there are alot of variations on the speaker sizes because i used 6.5's and i didn't have to mod anything no rings no brackets nothing i just unscrewed and pryed off old ones and screwed new ones in stock mounting holes.

I just used some MDF and a jig saw to make adapters... didnt take long at all to make them

Just use some MDF and make them yourself.

are we talking about the front door speakers? cus if we are then i and a few other celicas here have 8 inch speaker holders with 8 inch speakers in it and thus no spacer plate for the 6 1/2 that i think come with the stock car.
In the case of replacing the 8's with 6.5's you must either buy or make ur own spaker plate. However if u have taken 6.5's out and putting 6.5's back in then you should already have the spacer plate. |

i was thinking about getting the new memphis 8 inch coaxials but they would be about $360 for 2, then get a amp to go with them. So iom not sure im having a shop make me metal brackets for 25 bucks for now maybe i will move them in the back and then get the memphis when i get more money

if they reduce the 8inch to a 6.5 they should. You should ask the seller
