Why would aftermarket speakers have less bass than stock ones? I thought they should have more if they are a good set.

thats from what iv heard. and i bought 2 sets of nice jl audio speakers and they have 0 bass. when my ground wire for my amps disconnected i had to listen to the 4 speakers without subs.... and it was horrible. they had nice mids and highs at least smile.gif

My Pioneer REV speakers also lacked the low end that my stock speakers provided when running off of deck power. But once I amped them, it was much better.

Are they're any speakers out there that will give you a good high mid and low? I'd like to just put better speakers in. I don't really want to go though the hasel of a sub. All I want is really good sound, not something that people can hear from 200 yards away.
