So I'm playing World of Warcraft, and for some reason it is lagging like a MOTHER. It was pissing me off so bad. Then I walk out of the room and back in and look at my computer, and as I'm looking IT SHUTS OFF AND WONT TURN BACK ON! It did this just yesterday and I had to put a new power supply in today. Now it did it again! It's ruined 2 power supplies. WTF IS WRONG WITH IT I AM SO PISSED OFF AAAAHHHHH!!! MUST.,... KILL......... MUST.........

No matter how much I know about computers they will always piss me off and I will always hate them.

We have this problem at work, with the small gray micron computers the PS is so cheap and weak even the slitest thing will make it blow. do you have it on a serge pertector, maybe your house it getting power serges and its taking out the supply.

Its kinda hard to think of resons (beyond that its just cheap) that a power supply would die, I have had the same old junker (i mean junker) for years and its a strong and reliable as the day I got it.

I could help you find a good one if you could list what computer you got etc. or just go to a computer shop (not a compUSA or best buy) a real computer store (where the people actualy know something)

nah lag isn really an issue anymore, alot of people just have ****ty computers and expect it to run perfect with 50 people on screen.

Im not really addicted to it like I thought I would, I havent really played it the last few days. Its still a good game though.

my comp is a 2.4 ghz p4, 768 mb of rambus pc800, ati radeon 9600 xt, and a few other goodies, so im thinking it should run perfect. i can run doom 3 at max without lag, well the other ppl with laggy computers in the game slow it up but mine is fine.

WoW is great if you like RPG's... and it's extremely addicting, especially if you have friends who play as well. It's been lagging a lot more than usual lately, probably because it's right after xmas and everyone has it now. Normally it's not a problem though.

Way to go off-topic lol. Now back to the topic about how computers suck frown.gif I think I figured it out though; I realized my computer is not connected to a surge protector (the cord wouldn't reach) and it's been pretty stormy lately... which it hasn't been for a while so that would explain why it's never done this. So I think it's power surges.

I am still a Everquest addict frown.gif 1 lvl 67 and 4 lvl 65's. back to topic i dont think your power supply would blow not being hooked to a surge protecter. My comp has been running for 4 years with out a surge protecter.

You can run doom3 with max settings on that setup cwm13.gif I have to overclock my x800 pro just to run doom3 on max, and thats with a p4 2.8e and 1024mb ddr3200 dual channel.

WoW with max settings is actually a really taxing game, even more so then doom3 at parts.
