I got a Celica St97 with the 6.5" speakers in the front doors.
I've heard that you can buy door panels from the GT-Four with setup
for 8", 4" and tweeters in the side mirror panels. I was thinking of buying
these door panels from my toyota shop, but do i need to do any convertions to fit
the 4" ?

So there are 2 or 3 versions of the premium door panels?
A friend of mine who owned a GT-Four 96 told me that it came with
his car when he bought it. He's sold the car so i haven't seen the door
panels myself

You could probably salvage the door panels either from a GT-4 or a premium equipped model of some sort. There are 3 different door panels made for our cars- one for a 4 speaker setup, one for 6 speakers, and one for the premium 8 speaker setup. The panel with the three speaker openings is the 8 speaker setup on premium models. If you do get the panels, the 4" speakers may or may not have yellow plastic screw anchors already in the door, or they may just be flat metal. However, I don't think making it work would be too hard.

I used to have a pic of the 4" speaker with the door panels off, but now I can't find it. All the speaker consists of is a piece of metal with two screw holes that bridges between the doors' sheet metal and the speaker is built right into it. If you need any more help just let me know.
