I gave it a try and put 2 bottles between throttle, tank and crankcase. Actually I was expecting more smoke but thats about it. It drives more smoothly now.

Very interesting... do you all think its worth running through an engine that has 67k miles or is it gona have no affect and a fear of damaging the engine? Sounds interesting for my 87 chevy nova though...

The motor treatment. Deep creep is the same stuff I believe, just in a spray bottle instead.

I would imagine that it'd help. I highly doubt you'd damage an engine with that low of mileage with the Sea Foam treatment.

I added it to my gas, oil, and t/b. My idle dropped from 1200-1400 to 800-900. Car feels stronger too.

pssh, i had NO SMOKE...
until i drove away after letting it sit doing nothing for a couple mins...
YES i let it soak in, and yet i changed the oil tongue.gif

idle did not change, it was already at about 800
and well, i did 1/3 TB, 1/3gas, 1/3Crankcase.

I used 1 bottle between the throttle body, gas tank, and crankcase. I used the same method that Coomer did. Sucked 1/3 through TB, turned the car off and poured the rest between the gas and crankcase, started the car and took it to redline around the block.

I noticed smoother idling before I finished sucking it in through the vacuum lines, and the small vibration caused by the fans kicking on at idle no longer happens. This stuff is definitely worth a sixer.

I had very minimal smoke on my 7A-FE w/ over 156k miles on it, and I'm letting it soak in right now before I go change my oil.

BG products makes a similar product, its just a carbon treatment, from my understanding you should have a carbon treatment performed on your car once every 60-80k miles. carbon smells like azz

if you just put it in the crank case, and gas tank, then you will probably not smoke that much.

you have to put it into the throttle body through a vac line to get the real benefit.

im tempted. Though i just swapped my oil like 2 days ago.

My engine has just under 90k kilometers so i dunno if i'll get much smoke smile.gif
Needless to say when i go for it i'll have my camera on the tripod and remote in hand.

You say it helps throttle response, the only problem i have with throttle response is when i step on the gas quick from idle, if i do that i have hardly any response , more like a bog sensastion, and sometimes i hear a click in the engine. Anything over idle though its great. Any ideas what this is all about ?

Thats bad.... That click could be your engine about to throw a rod.....

Have you advanced your timing or nething?

Ryan,
no i havn't done anything to it. Actually its not the original engine that came with the car. The original died with the previous owner and he had another 7afe dropped in.

Like i said though this is just when i hit the gas from an idle. So i have learned to feather the gas and i hardly ever hear it when doing that. I just wish i could nail the gas and have nice response.

So if its a rod what can i do ?
