Hello all,
just bought a silver '95 Celica JDM (but it's auto unfortunately).

It had lame OZ Racing WRC rims but I replaced them with 9-spoke BSA 17x7 alloys and used 215/45 Firestones on them.
Now the car has some minor dents/scratches to be repaired next week but I was wondering if you could tip me off about things I should do to improve its looks and make it drive a bit sportier. Nothing fancy tho.

I already trimmed some interior vinly parts in black with a special spray (the box between seats and cup holder tray) because they were worn.

I'm planning for a Pioneer DEH-7600MP, good speakers and console painted silver like the car etc.

Exterior and interior styling I know what to do but I'm clueless about performance and
engine bay styling. Any tips?
How do you make the engine bay look clean and neat ? And what can I add to my engine to make it dish out a bit more horsepower ? I have a 3S-FE engine i think (even if there's a metal label on it saying 3S-GE/3S-FE I'm 60% sure it's a 3S-FE cause I have a manual MR2 with a 200hp 3S-GE and it doesn't have the same redline tongue.gif)

BTW it already has an exhaust system and muffler fitted (sounds deeper but not a stupid noise-maker)

And this is my first true post so hey all biggrin.gif

Hello.

It had lame OZ Racing WRC rims

Not sure I've ever heard of Oz WRC alloys being called 'lame'.

I truly hope they aren't the ones I'm thinking of....

I think the OZ Racing WRC rims rock, I've got them on my Celica.

Well, the remote controlled one, anyway...

You want to hope that you're wrong as the 3S-FE has an 'economy' head and produces less power than the 3S-GE motor.
I assume the red line your refer to is the rev counter - if that's the case it's probably different as it's an auto.

What mods did you do to the MR2 to get 200bhp?

Nothing tongue.gif
It has a 3S-GE from a '98 MR2 and it dyno'ed 198hp tongue.gif
It's a JDM MR2 btw... I was planning to do some mods in it but I'm going away to university and can't keep it so I decided to have something with 4 seats and that doesn't need so much gas tongue.gif

Great car btw, I would buy one anyday - I'm planning to import a '98 turbo model from Japan the next year or a Supra TT tongue.gif

Welcome!!

If you do have the 3sge, since its a 95 it will only have 177 hp and no vvti. Your MR2 3sge has vvti i bet. That difference will change the red line, so i wouldnt go by that.

Does you car have any badging? like ss-I or ss-II? Does it have front or rear exentions? these things can clue you in on what model you have and thus what engine you have. For your sake, lets hope its the 3sge smile.gif

I know you're talking about the BEAMS VVT-i engine for the MR2 but it's not the one I have, I checked. It actually suprised everyone when it dyno'ed ~200hp every time. I was told I have the fastest non-turbo MR2 around here  - Too bad I had to sell it frown.gif

The Celica is quite fast for an auto but I don't really care about it's performance. I just wanna make it kinda beefier no matter what it is smile.gif

I like to make it look good than drive fast. If I wanted something fast, I'd go with a GT4 biggrin.gif

Edit: I already have some "points" in my licence book and I'm on the edge. Can't risk a fast car biggrin.gif hehehe
