Hey

My friend recently purchased a mx3 precidia with a v6. I know that this motor only makes 130 hp and I could beat it with my celica but my other friend is buying a mx6 mysteria. He says they come with a 2.5 v6 is this the same motor or does his make more? I know the cars are nothing special as I have seen some run but I am just wonder what it pushes?

I'm not sure if u have the same Mazdas in the states, but here in Europe or at least Sweden the mx6 comes in like 2 different options. I think there is a 2.0 l as well, but the 2.5l V6 comes with 165hp. I think it's pretty quick, if you have a SS-II I think you stand a better chance.

When it comes to the mx3, it's the same here in Sweden. It's available with a V6 engine but with less horsepower than the mx6.

here in the US in the mid 90s MX3's you had the option of 1.6 litre inline 4 or 1.8 litre v6. The 4 put out like 115 HP and the 6 put out like 139 or something like that. The MX6 has the same 2.5 litre v6 as the Ford Probe that puts out 165 HP

The MX6 V6 USDM is basically a Mazda version of the Ford Probe V6

i was actually gonna get the MX-6 M-Edition until I decided not to fix the huge dent in the side of the car. And I though the sellers were shady. It ran pretty strong, I dont think my GT could take it.

mx3 are very heavy.

a GT celica should be able to win.

i can beat my friends mx-3 with my GT... both of our cars are 5 spd and both have intake and exhaust...

the stock engines are slow in both, my buddy has one, but he did the j-spec somthin swap, so he has around 200hp now.. its pretty quick but does seem to be a bit heavy for its size.

the mx6 isnt slow, my dad has a probe gt and it will kill my car in a straight line. they arent much heavier than a celi either. you wont be able to beat the 2.5 without some serious mods, its got more torque than we do, 160ish ft-lb, and power all the way up to their 7k redline.

i have buddies with both the mx3 and the mx6. the mx3 is an easy win, the mx6 isnt. the mx6 shouldnt pull too much on you if you can drive. while riding in the mx6, you probably would say, "wow this bitch is quick". it seems like its a lot faster when your in it. when you race it, you find yourself saying "wtf?"
they are very nice cars though.

I have a probe GT KL-03 & a mx-3 with a JDM klze (same motor) in may yard, the Probe Ican say with him if iI push it real hard. The gears in those car are long, they build alot of TQ my GT only has a intake & exaust they probe has the same it beats me every time. BUT I saw him get beat by a calica with a N/A 2nd gen 3S-GE about a car -2 cars.
