Well guys....I've been a member forever on here, but I think that my time has come. I've decided that I'm really not looking to soak any money into my car and I'd like to buy something newer since i'll be driving back and forth to college alot this next semester. So here it goes...

FOR SALE-
THE CAR-
I'm selling my silver 1994 GT Liftback, with ALL options offered that year. These include 5-speed manual transmission, 8-speaker sound system with two power amps, black leather seating, power windows, power doorlocks with keyless entry, and power windows, cruise control and A/C. Also on the car is a power sunroof that DOES NOT LEAK, rear spoiler, rear window wiper, rear window defogger, as well as dual airbags. All these factory features are in perfect working condition.

MODIFICATIONS-
The car is mainly in stock trim, with only a few minor upgrades. These Include-

- Greddy/Trust Shift knob
- Panasonic Dot-Matrix display headunit, running a set of 4" Kicker REsolution components in the front doors, (2) 8" Kicker midbass in the doors, (1) 10" Polk/MOMO sub in the trunk.
- Short-Ram intake
- iRotors.com cross-drilled and slotted rotors and Hawk Ferro-carbon brake pads (installed about 1k miles ago.)

THE GOOD-
The car that you see below was absolutely babied by me. Always. I never raced the car, or drove it abusively in any way while I owned it, since thats not how I drive. I am only the second owner of the car, the previous owners of which were family friends of my fathers and bought the car brand new in Clinton, NJ and was adult driven and maintained for about 8 years of its life. I bought the car completely stock about 3 years ago now, and have ALWAYS maintained the car excellently. All recent service records are included. Heres a list of what little I've had to repair-

- Passed inspection only a month ago
- Brand new Kumho ASX tires, only about 400 miles on them.
- Brand new Brakes and pads on all four corners, as described above.
- New right side CV joint about a year ago (popping sound when you turn), left side was done before I bought the car.
- New downpipe (exhaust leak) about 2 years ago.
- Complete tune up including water pump, new valve cover gasket, oil pump gasket, new timing belt and alternator belt and pulleys, etc. (ALL done professionally by a very reputable shop.)
- New spark plugs (Bosch +4 platinum) and stock replacement spark plug wires less than 1k miles ago.
- Changed oil every 2500-3000 miles, always. No missed changes ever.

Might be forgetting some small things, but thats about it.

THE BAD-
The only bad things that I can think of with this car is the body, which isnt perfect. There are small dents on the passenger fender, and drivers door, along with several imperfections that all occured when the previous owner lent the car to his daughter to drive to New York. Unfortunately, like many cars parked in the city, it left with a few dings on an otherwise beautifully kept car. frown.gif There is also some rust that exists, but isnt a very big issue and could be fixed cheaply. The clearcoat on the roof is slightly faded, but doesnt represent a serious problem.

Also, the odometer reads about 212,000 miles, which may scare some buyers, but the car was actually bought with 145,000 miles and upon registering the car found out the girl who renewed registration on the car last had told the DMV 185,000 miles instead of 145k. This was all fixed, because the odometer legally had to be set to its reading of 185k that the DMV said was correct, but upon close inspection there was NO TAMPERING with the original reading...just an unfortunate miscommunication. This means, however, the car has only about 175k actual miles, but the odometer reads what the mileage is legally according to DMV records, so that is what it is. However, this also means cheaper insurance for the buyer.

THE BOTTOM LINE-
This car is excellent. Period.
Use it as a starting place as an inexpensive platform for a 3SGTE and beautuful bodywork, or as a dead reliable second Celica to have or to drive everyday and not worry about anything going wrong. I've absolutely loved owning this car, and hope that my next car is half as reliable as this car has been to me.

I'm located in Northwest New Jersey, and would be more than willing to work with anyone interested. I'm looking to get around $3300 for the car with the audio equipment installed, seeing as how I put over a thousand into it. However, I could leave just the headunit and certain components to reduce the price, however this car IS NOT worth anything less than about 3 grand. The pictures below will show you.

Here's some pics- IM me if you want specific shots.

Which reminds me-

When I was shooting the exterior shots in my lawn the other day, I had two older guys drive by on the road when I was talking pics and they both stared at the thing the whole way past my house. Shortly after that a neighbor stopped and asked me if it was for sale...all within the five minutes I had it in my lawn. biggrin.gif

Figured I'd put that out there....It definately catches some looks.

good timing. My car is well finally giving way to teh accident i had in 2003. Let's talk about the price though. You car, even @ 187K miles is a bit too pricey. I am in middle of getting a loan for a replacement vehicle so given the fact that I live in New brunswick I am close to you and strongly considering your car. However several things stop me. I am not concearned about your music supplies. Neither I am concearned about bruises your car has. How about $2800 with or without audio stuff (whichever you want). Paid in cash (or check from Bank of America). I will get an answer from the bank tommorow or by tuesday. Tell me what you think. got a counter offer hit me on cell. 609-501-2577

Correction- My car has about 172,400 miles right now.

I am pretty firm on selling at no less than $3,000...If you look at it in person, you would agree too. Also letting the audio go with the car for only $300 extra is a steal, considering how unique the setup is and the quality parts used.

However, I am willing to work with the price. Yarik, you have first dibs, but $2,800 may be a little too low. IM me if you have any other offers in mind. Anybody else interested, feel free to post or IM.

be honest. Why are you selling the car?
I am giving you my final offer of 3K as long as the car is mechanically in perfect shape and has not been in the accident. My current car title when bought was "clean" untill i took the bumper off (after my accident) and discovered that entire front end was changed by a toyota dealer (not in vehicle title).

I noticed that the engine bay of your car is white (or so it appears) is that true? has the car been painted? and btw do you still have the "old" shift knob?

3K is as high as I am willing to go, providing it meets criteria above.
I will need to test drive the vehicle and inspect it myself. I will let you know asap if I am approved for the 3K loan I am taking. BTW need more pics of the following:

I already fully and honestly told why im selling the car. I'm in the market for soemthing newer now that I can afford it, and something that has a little more performance stock. Frankly I've just lost interest in wanting to modify the car. However its a great start for somebody interested in doing so.

Mechanically it is in excellent shape. I cant say perfect, because with higher mileage you never know what could happen down the line at some point. But I can assure you that it has been in superb running condition ever since i have owned it. As far as accidents, there havent been any serious collisions that have altered the vehicles performance in any way at all. I was backed into about 2 years ago in a perking lot, but the woman who hit me payed to have it fixed. Also, it was involved in a very minor bump at a stop sign about a year ago, but there was no damage to either car.
Also, the engine bay is not white, it is its factory silver. It's all the original paint except for the panel that was fixed. Also, I have ALL the original parts and could return the car back to bone stock if you so desire, including the shift knob, stereo, etc.

Like I said before...the body isnt perfect, but has no instantly noticable bad spots as you can see by the pics. I encourage you to tell me when you would like to check it out in person. I dont think you'll be disappointed.

I'm located near Hope, NJ immediately off exit 12 westbound on route 80. It's very easy to find. Just let me know whatever you find out from your bank. Thanks.
