ok apparently some people didn't read, i'm not looking for everyones tops speed, we have had many many threads befroe for that.

i am wanting to know what the fastest anyone has gone in a celica before , AS A WHOLE, not individually,

as in if someone posted 140 mph, do not post unless you have gone faster, get it, ok, now lets try this again, anybody with a 3sgte swap w/ MR2 tranny ever maxed out. and is 140 the fastest anyone has ever gone in a celica if so that is very very bad. a 7th gen gts can do that i mean come on.

I can't beat 140. In fact, I have never broken 100 in the Celica. To me, its not top speed that matters since that is more dependent on gearing, speed limiter and aerodynamics then anything else. The important statistic is acceleration, IMO.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

140 in a 94 GT with no mods besides an exhaust and intake... it is possible it just took a while to get up that fast

I think the US cars are limited to 125 mph, at least the 5 speed GT's are.

I think I have only done 120 on the Celica...both NA and turbo. I know that NA it would take forever to get there and then turbo it would get there too soon and I would get nervous because the Dropzone would start jumping too much and the ride was unstable...I mean CRAZY unstable...front end jumping and bouncing against the asphalt, hahaha. biggrin.gif

yeah, sphinx, you, tufy, and mabey RbrtNdrws are the only ones this thread applied to,

the rest of the posts are absolutely pointless.

again please stop posting speed anylower than like 150 from now on, we know how fast a stock st can go so stop telling us.

Should also have added that this speed was done legally on an officially closed road wink.gif May well have been able to go over 200km/h, but that was the max legal limit allowed under the FIA rules for the event I was competing in.

What are you going to do about it, buddy? Don't get your panties all in a bunch, haha...the thread title is misleading. Next time specify so you don't get all butt-hurt. It's pretty simple! tongue.gif

I think I've done about that.

But I don't have a MR2 tranny, so I'll shut up.

Ok this doesnt have to do with speed, but im not starting a whole new topic on this. Isn't the governor 135 MPH in our celica GT's|? And maybe lower in an ST??? And Kadett, whats the governor on a 3SGE? Obviously those with engine work most likely have a chip, so it is not governed.
