I like rare cars, and that's one of the reasons I got this 6th gen Celica. IS, to me, they are every where.. and doesn't really catch my attention as much as this family coupe that rarely anyone would fix up:

http://my.is/ is the best website if you are looking for info.
Let me clear up some misconceptions. IS parts are expensive(big suprise). Turbo and supercharger kits start at $5,000 and up. A stage one TC or SC with basic bolt ons will put at about 300 rwhp. 2002 was the first year of the 5 speed. If you take your time you can find a nice 5 speed for under $20,000. Stock bottom end on the 2jz-ge will only hold up to about 400 rwhp before it reaches it's limits as well as the stock IS 5 speed. The 2jz-gte bottom end will hold close 1,000 rwhp. The link below should answer most of your FI questions. http://my.is/forums/showthread.php?t=240227 I hope this info helps in your decison making process. The first gen IS is a great platform. I enjoyed the car very much before I had to move on to the GS. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. Daniel -------------------- Black 1996 Celica GT Convertible For Sale
