I reckon go with the swap
![]() Instead of spending money rebuiling the engine you might as well use that money to do the swap and fix your other car. -------------------- ![]() 98 ST204 ZR - Black Beauty - Roaming the streets of Sydney 73 TA22 LT - Tiffany Blue - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 75 TA22 LT - Snow White - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 77 RA28 LT - Flubber Green - Mint Classic Weekend Cruiser 94 MX-5 NA8 Clubman - Red Racer - Looking for corners WIP Project: 69 RT40 Corona, 2nd WIP Project: 66 RT40 1600s Corona 86 Corona RT142 - Daily Driver 6GC 4 Life Baby!!! |

i think it would be a complete waste of time fixing your motor, then swapping it.... save the money and do the swap now

Just realize, if a bearing needs to be replace, it's not big deal, but if you SPUN a bearing, you're in rough shape. The crank will need to be removed, brought to a machine ship to be turned and polished, and the oversized bearings installed.
Not to mention that the journals in the block will probably have to be bored out and cleaned up as well! If you actually spun the bearing, then I would say go with the swap. -------------------- -Dr Tweak, 6GC's resident engine swap wiring expert extraordinaire Click here to see my swaps drtweak@phoenixtuning.com |

QUOTE(Punch @ Nov 24, 2005 - 11:14 AM) the motor in my corolla went last night so I'm out of luck... You just have the worst luck don't you? Same here. I say, put a 20V in the corolla, and a 3S in the Celi. Either way, you would end up with two magnificant beasts. One for dragging the Rolla, and the celi for cruising. |
