well he definitely tried to change his life around when he was in prison. He preached non-violence when he was in prison but unfortunately he has to pay for his actions. Lets not forget he killed 4 people and no matter what he does, those people are not coming back.

i forgot my opinion sorry............ I think that he didnt do it and he got framed for the crimes and just wanted to put him there for being the ex leader.... and even if he did do it he doesn't need to be killed for that it doesnt solve anything

Juz my two cents

Even though he did kill people and started the Crips, I still don't think that he should have been executed. He wanted life in prison. Which probably worst than getting executed. I am against the execution of prisoners.

i agree that everything was handled correctly.

what shocked me throughout the whole thing were the people demanding "Free Tookie". Was this man not convicted of killing 4 innocent people in cold blood, and was never remorseful for it?

How can you possibly execute someone? There should be a vote, honestly. Then we as a society could decide rather than one dude. Go watch the Life of David Gale. For gosh sakes, the guy was nominated for a nobel peace prize while in prison and they killed him. I guesss that doesnt mean **** tho cause Hitler was nominated for that once too.

you know in other countries they punish people worse for the crimes they commit than what we do here in America. The death penalty is a good thing. Having someone take a life sentance justs waste more tax payers money. IF you killed someone like what he did, then pay for it. WHo gives a crap if hes a nice guy now. Boo freaking hoo. those 4 people and the thousands of people his gang killed aren't coming back. Fry him.. Oh wait he did

It just shows america's stance on prisons, they are there for punishment and not rehabilitation... I'll leave it at that

Its amazing what people know nothing about. Yes he co-founded the crips, but to begin with the crips was 1 gang that didnt use guns only fists. Then northern gangs started to move into souther cali, and brought the real problem aka guns into gang violence.

On top of that; they had no proof what-so-ever of him killing anyone. I mean Tookie had plenty of money. So there was really no motivation to kill those people unless they were somehow related to gangs, or there was some type of loan sharking going on and they didn't pay up.
