I know. But the thing is if i want my kit on and my car painted i have to have a crash bar. Other wise my bodyshop wont touch it. I would like to know if anyone would know if the GT-four crash bar would fit with the zyclone kit on?

Yeah i was actually just talking to Chrisc about some riser blocks. They are a little expensive right now but soon i will get them and im not really liking the rear so i might change that as well. But as for now it will do... Thanks everyone for your responses!

This is just my opinion...but taking the crash bar off is just retarded and i can understand why some body shops won't take it off cuz then they'd be held reliable as well. I would never jeopardize my well being for the looks of a car thats not even that "great." And ive seen many people on this site getting into accidents nowadays so that makes me question ur decisions even more. This is just MY opinion. Flame me if u want.

p.s. the front bumper looks nice though...u should get the c-one c/f hood to compliment the bumper

Yeah i can understand why some people would not want to jeopordize their well being, and dont get me wrong i care about myself as well. I actually did not know they were going to take it off untill i was there to pick it up and he gave me all of the old bumpers and stuff. Thanks the front is what i really like about the kit, but I think i am going to take off the rear and put my stock back on because i am not really likeing the bulkiness of the rear. I think im going to put stock back on and get either some splitters or a lip. What do you guys think?

Isnt it a 5 mph crash bar? Does it even help if you get in a wreck above that speed?

LOL i have no clue, but i doubt that the aluminum bar would do any help in a high speed crash. But then again its there for a reason...

I have no idea if it would help in a high speed crash. I just know my bodyshop wont touch my car if i take it off. So i hope i can figure some way out to fit the bumper over it. (celicaGT04) did you ever fit it up to the car with the bar on? If so how bad was the gap do you think? And how much would you think it would take to shave some of the crash bar to fit in with it?

Yes i did test fit the bumper with the bar on. But i did not bolt it on with it. I asked my body man why he took it off and he said its because it was a tight fit. I think that they might be able to shave some of the inside of the bumper if they really needed to fit the front on. They will find a way to make it work that is why they work there. If not then i guess like crismillencolin said get another body shop.

Well im fitting the kit myself. And i'm not gonna find another bodyshop because this is my old neighbor and cut me a great deal on everything that he is doing, also the best bodyman in my town. Not gonna go to a different shop and have them do a S***Y job. But i think i'll figure it out. A couple people on this forum have this kit with the stock crash bar on. So i'll get her done. Thanks guys and celicaGT04 your cars nice. can't wait to get mine done lol.

from what I recall from some chats I had back in the day you can just shave the corners of the bar to be like /-------\ instead of |-------| and that will make it fit with the c-one kit.
