On Sunday I took the girlfriend to Red Robin (In Auburn, next to the Supermall.. for those WA people). The food was good and all was grand. We finished dinner and I took her home. I go home and go to bed. Next thing I know I am waking up at 2:30AM Monday morning. Feeling... different. I sat in bed for a while and then decided to go hug the toilet. Basically I would get up every 45 minutes and go throw up and then go back to bed. This went until about 2:00PM Monday, when I stopped throwing up and started feeling like even more crap. I was freezing, all cramped up, sick, and just not feeling too good. I went to sleep that night and woke up the next morning feeling alright. As the day progressed I realized the sick feeling was gone, however the intestinal cramps were still there. I popped some Asprin and went to work. All I ate yesterday was half a can of soup. Today I wake up and suprise! Intestinal cramping STILL here! I ate 2 bites of soup.. and thats all I had today. Also my neck is stiff as a board. I can't turn my head either way, nor up or down. I believe that if this isn't gone in the morning I will be calling my doctor...

Anyone else get food poisoned? If so, where and what did you have?

-Red Robin
-Royal Red Robin Burger

just thinking about it makes me want to puke..

yeah i have gone through exactly the same thing a few years ago. we had gone to a nice pizzeria and decided to order a pizza with lots of olives and calmari and feta cheese. it was delicious. fast forward a few hours later and i was in the same state you found yourself earlier this week. both my gf/ and i were sick but the couple we were with were OK (they ordered something more conventional). called the restaurant and they admitted that the feta cheese was "not quite as fresh as we usually serve it" on that day. threatened to call health officials and have them shut down so they offered to reimburse our meal and serve us a complimentary meal... NO THANKS. we have never set foot in that dump again and tell everyone about them when the situation presents itself. i wonder how many other people got sick that day and just said to themselves "it's just a 24 hour flu"

^^^^I agree.....I've had food poisoning before but it was nothing like that....I was sick for numours (sp) hours until I was literally dry heaving but that is about it.....once i went to bed and then woke up and was fine. But if this has lasted as long as it has I'd be going to the doc.

Yeah. I am going to call the Doctor today. I woke up this morning and I couldn't move my neck without a great deal of pain, and my back is also in a great deal of pain. Also I can't take deep breaths. When I take a breath it feels like there is something very heavy sitting on my chest.

I would get to a doctor quick. That neck thing doesn't sound like food poisoning.

no that sounds a lot more like meningitis, my teachers kid had it once, and had all the symptoms you had... you better be careful because that can become very dangerous.

Well I went to the doctor and they said there isn't really anything they can see going on right now, but if it isn't going away, or starts getting worse in the nest few days I have to go to some other hospital and get a chest X-Ray and have some blood tests done. I took some asprin and some of the neck pain has gone away, but I will have to keep taking asprin through out the day.

On the plus side though, the last time I went to the doctor (last fall) I weighed 205, and today I was 184. woot.

I never had food poisoning, but me and my buddy used to eat at Red Robin at least twice a week. A-1 peppercorn burger is the ****! His girlfriend worked there, and so did this girl I dated for a while. Yeah, turns out she was a bitch and she started going out with some drug dealer and I haven't been to Red Robin since.

I work for a food hygiene company. The normal dose of food poising lastes upto 48 hours, but if you eat something like fish or rice which wasn't heated up to atleast 83 degrees you can get food poising which lasts alot longer, there has been cases where poeple have been ill for months as you have to wait for the poision to get out of your system, there is a sorts of food poising where the bacteria klings to your stomach and it takes months to get rid of it.
But if your still feeling ill after a week go and see your Doc.
Hope you feel better soon.

Haha, alcohol poisoning that's great. To me and my friends you don't have alcohol poisoning until you're in the hospital getting your stomach pumped. Thankfully, none of us have had it, but my one buddy was real close once.
