Hey everyone,

For car meets and shows, i'd like to leave my doors open and especially my hatch when I get my new audio system finished this week. But I don't want all my interior lights to be on. Does anyone know of an easy solution for that?

I'm wondering if I can just tap into a wire that triggers it all and just hook up a switch. If that can be done, any know where that is?

Thanks!

Isn't there a switch on the top of the car (where the mid internal light is) that says: on / door / off?

When that's on off, no lights go on when the doors are opened. Haven't checked the trunk tho.

If its a one time even, then i would simply take out the bulbs in the doors, and then turn the switch to off on all the others... As far as the wires go, im not sure.

it should, it will disable all interior lights, dash lights, dome, doors, trunk light, etc...

If you take off the back speaker cover you should see some wires for your door. You can unhook that and then it won't know if the door is open or closed. You can also put I switch there if you really wanted to. The only thing with disconnecting the wires is that your alarm wont work or at least that how it was with mine.

you could switch all the bulbs to led ones mate, they won't hardly draw any current if your concerned about wearing out the battery. I'm about to do that with mine, well on the door markers anyway as other interior lights have switches.

Just kill the door switch from the one u open,
or keep it pushed in with tape or something.

why would anyone bother taking the entire interior appart just to disable some of the interior lights for a show?
like i said above, pull the 10A "Dome" fuse, thats it.

Have a look at what it does
