great, so the room i just paid for is going to be me...and me alone....great. SO i need a back up plan...anyone else still looking for a room? (just incase)

the room is already reserved it cost me 72.00$, 2 queen beds, non-smoking.

possible rain here too, if it's the same here as it is there for Sat, i'll still show (as long as it's not bad, my fronts are pretty bald)

let me know what you guys want to do.

hmm it seems like alot of people can't go, and if it's going to rain, i might not sure ill be going. arg, i still really wanna go haha, and im sure i can do it if i try hard enough, but honestly, this isn't the best weekend for me to go. Im short on money, my car isn't finished, it's not insured, it's got no tags, and 5 of the 6 people that were going to go with me backed out So arg, i'll see what happens haha.

we can setup a raindate for next weekend. let me know what works best for you guys!

i'm waiting for DG to see this and post wether he's up for rain or not. . .
if so then i'm guessin i'm rain or shine, even though rain looks like it'll have a poor turnout.

u dont have to keep the plan just because i can only make it this weekend. If i cant make it then, i cant. Life will go on. Yes id like to go, but im not gonna hold up the group, or ruin a meet because im like "everyone should come this week because thats when i can come, even tho its going to rain"

but my feelings are that its gonna be scattered storms. light rain here and there, and at the worst a down pour for like an hour.

I should be there Saturday, rain or shine. Along with a friend in his RX7 if we can get it running in time.

It rained the last time i went to a philly meet and the city was flooded! it sucked driving around in that mess. if it rains i am not going...as all the other people wont be showing up either and i am not going to drive 6 hours to hang out with 3 people for a meet. so you should be praying to the car gods to let this meet happen .
Steve, if it rains me and you can get started on project "Top Secret" (you know what i mean) and have it ready for the next meet!!!

ok ... lets not jump the gun just yet. lets wait till tomorrow and see what the deal is. if it rains the meet will get a new date.

i got some drugs from the doctor so i should be good for this weekend. next weekend might be a problem for me though

I think the response to the weather is being exaggerated.

From all the forecast models I've seen, the only precipitation we'll be seeing is scattered afternoon thunderstorms in Philadelphia. Thats totally normal for a balmy summer afternoon in the Northeast, I'm willing to bet that its going to be a warm and muggy day with scattered clouds, and then later in the evening a thunderstorm will roll though and be gone. Nothing more.


Lets not get too scared of a quick evening storm, i'm sure the meet will be fine. The forecast looked MUCH worse for the last CSP meet and worse yet two years ago in Philly when a hurricane was rolling up the coast. Both times the show went on. Perhaps we should shoot for more like 11-12 noon as the arrival time so that even if theres a quick thunderstorm that rolls through, we will have gotten an earlier start on things....just an idea.



I'll be in Philly Friday-Sunday, so if anybody wants to call me regarding the weather that morning please feel free to do so.
