I saw my first convertible Celi driving on the road today, and it looked SWEET! It was light blue, and not many mods, but looked good just as it was.

You 'vert owners are so freakin' LUCKY!

just felt like saying...

I have a hatch and a vert... i must say that for just enjoyment and looks, id go with the vert. But if i wanted a lot of speed id really want the hatch so i guess it depends. I love my hatch way more then the vert though, just cuz of all the work ive put into it. Not to mention the verts have many problems.

The vert doesnt have that many problems... It has just as much problems as a hatch or a coupe... if your like talkin about leaking or anything like that, all verts have that, not just the celica vert.

My problem tho with my vert is my fault... My top stopped working so i gotta get that fixed, I accidentally starined the system and now it dont work too well... woops... and my back window doesnt work cuz the button is dirty or the circuit was lost... i dunno... But toher than that my car is problem free...

and yes... Verts are the best biggrin.gif I love my vert!!! <3<3<3<3

dont get me wrong, i love my vert, and i havent had any problems out of it really, it doesnt leak, and i havent had to replace a single engine component. I would just rather have a hatch due to weight and aftermarket part issues.

I love my vert, it can be a pain in the @$$ at times but shes sexy and i love her. The top motors are the worst, they are near impossible to come by and if you do they are mad expensive, needless to say I have a blown one also frown.gif .

thats the same thing that happened to me, im afraid you did blow your motor, heres whats going on...

that motor on the other side, can support it along with the weak @$$ torque from the other blown motor, after a while it will qui all together.

if you take it out and hit the switch while you hold onto the gear off the motor, you can probably hold it in place, meaning there is no way in hell it could lift your top... sadly frown.gif

you guys are making me nervous with all of these busted motors. Am I next? I will say that the quarter windows have been a pain in my arse with the switches not working and that they like to come off the track. However, a celi convertible is a very prized possession in my eyes

You know I never had a problem with my vert. Well I take that back, For a while there I couldn't keep an axle in it. As for the switches for the back windows, Take the actual switch out and apart and clean the contacts. They just get a build-up on them and need to be cleaned. A little die-electrical grease wouldn't hurt either.
