my alarm was installed probably around 2 years ago and it was working when I got the car but now it doesn't. When I press the button to turn it on it just does the remote keyless entry, and then if I press it enough the alarm just goes off randomly lol. Anybody know how to fix it? It's a Clifford alarm.

Your alarm might be in valet mode. I dont remember how to get it out of valet but i think for the clifford all you have to do is turn your key to on position and push the valet button once and then turn the key off. Does the red led light stay on or does it not do anything the way it is now?

If the light stays on and doesnt flash then it is in valet mode. Let me know if you have luck. Do you have the owners manuel for the alarm? That will tell you how to take it out of valet too.

There sould be a little button or togle switch under the dash or in the kick panel. This might be hard to find depending on where it was installed. Most people install it on the drivers side under the dash. Hope this helps. You can also pull the fuse for the main power to the alarm and then put it back in. Have your keys ready because the alarm will go off as soon as you put the fuse back in. Most of the time this fuse will be conected strait to the battery so look for it coming off of the positive battery terminal.

Depending on the model of alarm clifford does some weird things. They have a plain sight valet button that you enter a code (certain number of button pushes) or they use a toggle switch that you enter a code with a series of left right presses. Your manual will walk you through it. If not go to clifford.com and find your manual online.
