In about 2 of my four hole I got alot of oil in them, I looked at my exploded engine view in my Haynes, and it looks like the only place it could come from is from the grommets on the top of the holes (that holds the cover).
But it doesnt seem like that much oil could come from there...

Is it possible it comes from inside the tubes itself? I supposed those spark plug tubes are screwed in the head eh? Anyone fixed this problems?

its the seals at either the bottom or top, just replace them (and do the valve cover gasket too)

One way to get oil in there is when you are putting oil and it spills over to those covers when you don't use a funnel to your filler hole. Then again, I wouldn't know if you or anyone actually did that. But thats 1 way.

Or it could also be caused from somebody else doing a compression test on your engine.

Sometimes mechanics will use a tiny bit of oil dripped through the spark plug galley to see if it improves the compression at all.....a pretty common procedure. If theres no likelyhood of that, then I think the other suggestions noted above are more likely.

try changing the rubber grommets. when they get old they get dry and hard so they let the oil push through w/o sealing. plus you'll get a better look when you talk off your valve cover and while your at it change the rest of the valve cover gasket just make sure you get all the gaskets and seal/grommets that way you only have to open it up once.

spark plug tube seals! thats the culprit...guarantee it!

they go for like 4 bux a piece at the dealership. its those lil grommets underneath those huge nuts that hold down the valve cover.
