ok my celi has been sittin for awhile and i decided to put a new engine in it so i have this new engine and i installed it-swapped all screw in sensors of my old block onto the new one also used my intake maifold & throttle body, i hollowed out the piece under exhaust manifold (its directly under where it bolts to the block and has honeycomb shape), i resurfaced and lightened my own flywheel at work and installed a stage 2 excedy clutch, pressure plate, and release bearing. now that everything is put together i cant get it to completely crank over , it trys but wont do nothing more. i have checked and my fuel pressure is good and im getting fuel to the combustion chamber, i have put it on TDC on the exhaust side and timed it, it gets a yellowish type of spark when i checked (should be blue i thought). so im getting fuel, spark, and its timed right so why wouldn't it start...
i have checked everything from timing, fuel pump, fuel pressure, timing belt, distributor cap & rotor, wrong wires plugged up, relay fuses anyone have any idea what going on?

-wess-

im desperate to get this bad boy on the roads again any help is muchly apreciated

I had this problem before too, seems like I was not getting any fuel into the motor. you might want to check your wiring and your fuel pump and lines to see if its bad gas or clogged or what not.

If you're sure valve and ignition timing is good and you have good compression, spray starting fluid in it and see if it will start.

If it will you have a fuel issue.

If not, ignition.

Keep in mind it could also be both [if you have a wiring problem or such].
Not as likely, but possible.

well i did spray starting fluid in it and it tryed for a second or two but i keep thinkin it might be the ignition coil. this may be a newbie question but where is the ignition coil in a 94 st never needed to know or really thought too much on it but valve timing it great my compression is good and i have checked all possibilities and everything is perfect so it must be ignition.

thnx guys its nice to have help every now and then

please do not misspell words to get around the word filter on the site, especially in the titles of your threads.
