Our sky pics look a lot a like, Jason.

lol this came to mind:

Somewhere out there,
beneath the pale moonlight,
someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight.

Somewhere out there,
someone's saying a prayer,
that we'll find one another in that big somewhere out there.

And even though I know how very far apart we are,
it helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star.

And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby,
it helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky.

Somewhere out there,
if love can see us through,
then we'll be together, somewhere out there,
out where dreams come true.

^ is that with the stock lens or an upgraded one?

sometime when its dark outside, like night time, can you take a moderate pic blinky, like 1600 or smaller is fine, just so i can see how that lense reacts?

dont have to do anything to the pic, im contemplating getting similar equipment because the more i read, the more i think id like one. low light, and fast action seems to be what flat out crushes the p&s

I'll see what I can do. I can already tell you that the f/2.8Ls will perform better in lower light environments.

Thats a nice lens. I would like something 200+ but I don't have cash for an L.

i have a 75-300f/4-5.6 and is does the job. i barely use it though. i tried to shoot the moon during the lunar eclipse and it still wasnt long enough.
