My local shell is doing this. Is this a legal thing. Is it bad for the car. Men, just realized this today.

This can be a repost so sorry. Do you know who else is doing this. They are diluting to 10% ethanol. What a ripoff

The more ethanol the cheaper the gas (in theory)

e85 ethanol has been around. Google it.

No, it's not. It is a less efficient fuel, yields less power, and is more expensive to make.

No, it's not.

x2 - you can feel a slight difference [like going from 93 to 91] and it doesn't get as good of mileage.

True to both, The only advantage of it, is that it's a "renewable" fuel sorce.

When your buying food at your local kroger, you can thank ethonal for the higher prices.

All the farmers are coverting over to Corn-fields, (takes ALOT of corn to make ethonal) and so prices for lettuce and tomatos and sh!t are going up. there are just less tomatoes being grown...supply and demand...

Sucks dont it?

Most of the crops used to make ethanol aren't sold to the public, rather to feed livestock.

It takes something like 10 gallons of gasoline to make 1 gallon of E85.

That pretty much sums it up. Thank god the federal government has come to the rescue with the economic stimulus.

Oh wait, that's taxable income. And will most likely be used by most to pay bills. And gas shot up again, and Saudi Arabia has rebuffed Bush's request to pump more oil (as of today on CNN.com). The price of grain has skyrocketed, because there's one particular type of rice that there's a shortage on. So domino effect because of all the other grain being $ increased, everything goes up. There goes my stimulus check. Mini wheats, electricity and gasoline. Gone.

Yeah, ethanol. It's legal and it burns cleaner, but it's about to burn a heck of a LOT cleaner when people can't afford to put gas in their cars any more. This is absolutely ridiculous. Thanks, dubyuh.
