$3.99 low
$4.17 Plus $4.49 Supreme (At Chevron in Bakersfield) I only put in Chevron gas (plus there were gas at the cheap stations that tainted cars and making them break down, once again, you get what you pay for). I found a Chevron by my house though that is $3.99 for plus! WOOO! still sucks that prices are going up though. Here in New Zealand its NZ$1.969 L for 91, NZ$2.019 for 95 and I do not want to think what 98 is. Thats at the moment. Seems like we get 5-10c increases every week. So Yeah. I thinks thats about NZ$8 per gallon. I would love to be still paying even $1.50 per L which is probably about what you guys pay after converting.

because your money is almost worth double of ours, you would have to pay the equivelent price. so 4.00 for us would be over 8.00 for you guys lol, yeah i know the conversion rate, i already did that. ![]() -------------------- |

Here in the UK in my local area, which is the south east of England (near London Gatwick Airport)
1 gallon = 4.54 litres. Super unleaded (99RON) is at it's most expensive in my area at £1.25 per litre, so multiply that by 4.54 = £5.67 per gallon, which over here would be $11.22 per gallon ![]() Now thats expensive ![]() ![]() Don't complain about fuel prices. You guys got it cheap man ![]() We couldn't beleive how little it cost to fill up a V6 Ford Fusion when we were on vacation in florida in March. Can I come & live in the States? Bike ![]() x2. my wife got mad at me when i told her i was buying a bike. She still thinks it is a really bad idea because of the danger with them. But the thing is this isnt going to get better, its going to get worse. gas bill will be cut in half on a bike going back and forth to work. i spend $50 a week in gas to go about 72 miles every day (most of it Highway). a bike getting like 40 mpg will be so much cheaper. its $3.95 here for Super. looks to hit $4.50 by Xmas. A friend of mine told me that he watched this news article on TV. The reporter was showing how in Saudi Arabia (i believe that is where this is) over a dune there is a Ski resort in the desert that the government just finished. lifts, snow, the whole nine yards. Its like 150 degrees out there and they are continuously making ice for this resort so people can ski. WE paid for that. Anyone know how much gas is in Iraq? like 45 cents! a barrel of oil costs us over $100 now. Im really content with standing back and letting this world destroy itself. |

Havok, yeah i know the ski resort your talking about its in Dubai, its really something. Last time i checked on oil prices were getting them for around $136 a barrel, oh yeah its gonna get worse, looking to hit $150 a barrel around fall before end of year.
On gas prices here though, it was around 3.75 few days ago. dont know what it is now. ive seen it jump .20 in 2 days so who knows. but thats the bricks. On the topic of filling up though thats another subject entirely.. for work i can put in $60-$100 a day depeding how many jobs there are, yes its a truck but it still gets 22mpg on average. ![]() The sad thing is we have several companies (oil companys no less) attempting to start initiatives/projects that would consideribly drop the price of oil per barrel here nationaly but are being shot down by congress. Buth thats a thread of its own.. Anways has anyone heard of the gentleman that invented a water welder that is able to reach temperatures formerly unobtainable by gas welders? It can heat/cut through materials in a fraction of the time of conventional tools? Well anyways he adapted the technology to one of his vehicles and now can travel 100 miles on 4oz of hydrogen. he uses it daily and is set to be widespread technology by 2013 and supposedly be ready to begin production on a widescale. (in case your wondering it would be about a $2 fill up.) This post has been edited by Razgriz: May 24, 2008 - 4:48 PM |

The $11.22 a gallon isn't totally... fair you would have to subtract the taxes that each government adds to a gallon of gas..
Anyway, here in the motor city, its $4.14 for a gallon of regular, thank you, Mr. Bush. Oh and a big shout out to Exxon, Texaco, et all for posting record profits in the 8 Billion dollar range each QUARTER <shudders> Here in the UK in my local area, which is the south east of England (near London Gatwick Airport)
