at a guess i'd say it'll probably work until you have left the seller feedback, then cease to function, like most of the tat from china on ebay

either that or the quality will be shockingly bad

I think for something like that, you're better off going with a name brand that you recognize (or recognise as you might call it biggrin.gif)

if your going to spend that much, get something with a warranty and a name brand. Save yourself the headache.

I know it's in au money, and i'm not sure of the conversion...

But i can say that if you goto your local 'hole in the wall' stereo-shop, they'll give you good deals, on brand new, name brand merch. For example, i've seen this one head unit at best buy for a little less than a grand (USD) and then seen the same model, brand ect. at my local stereo shop for $350. And the dude was even willing to drop it to 300 if i bought a $100 pair of speakers w/ it. biggrin.gif

Small busniesses (owned and operated by direct owners) can do that for you. Just talk with them, and tell em what you want, and how much you got. Usualy if they can work a deal, then they will to get the sale wink.gif And that'll be for Brand-New, Name Brand stuff; not something that's ...E-bay quality...

E-Bay is full of garbage. (some good buys from time-to-time, but i wouldn't trust it)

G/L

(edit: E-Bay quality replacing previous description of e-bay merch tongue.gif )

yeh at the end of the day you get what you pay for and just think you could be just throwing £100+ down the drain which is not good

think if would you buy this off a car boot sale with the only guarantee being the seller saying "oh yeh it works fine" thats about the level of comeback/warranty you have once you have left your feedback

a lot is down to where you buy it from as well, i would avoid buying anything of value from china/hong kong etc branded or not! have you seen those fake iphones? thumbsdown.gif

best going for end of line/discontinued stuff from reputable sellers as the manufacturers warranties will be genuine and valid as well

i have used ICECLEAROUT a few times and found them to be very reliable, go for a seller like that and you should be ok

I got one of those diesal audio doubple din head units for 300 bucks. It worked alright, but the thing was trash. It gui was like from the 80's and things were organised terribly. THe only thing that was decent on it was the DVD player. So i ended up just giving that away and playing a **** ton more for a pioneer Avic Z-3. I love this thing, but I really wish I would have just went straight away and just bought it first.

Yeah, that's definately peak power. RMS for most decks are just going to be around 22w.
