Here is a post that I made on the Supra forums about oil and time. Good read for the ignorant ones who think oil only lasts 3k miles.

This guy is an oil expert, so if you question him, do some research and you'll realize he's right.

also it should be noted that in the toyota celica owners manual it suggests oil changes every 5k-7k...sooo why would toyota recommend this if it was so bad? i can understand 3k but anything less is a little excessive

When you get off the gas pedal your injectors shut off so thats why you get better gas mileage when going down a hill than going up. once you go in neutral youre on idle so your injectors are on at that time. Another thing that helps is cruise control. your tps will read the smae speed for as long as its activated, how it does this, simple..you cant keep your foot on the same position so injectyors go on and off instead of staying on the same speed and goign on a steady pase..
