Hi!
I'm going to put in an amp and a sub, and I'm planning to have them in the trunk.
This means that i have to run all my cables/wires from the head unit and the speakers from the front to the trunk. Where do i put them?
Should I run all the wires in the sides at the floor or should i run the speaker wires in the roof and the power wires in the floor sides?

How did you do it?
Which way is the best?

I ran all my wires down on the floor at the door sills, there are already factory wiring harnesses there, so might as well keep everything in 1 spot.
to get to it, just pop off the sill trim, and then the carpet edge slides right up.

Yeah, I have ran my trunkpopper wires their, but I don't want any distortion and running a bunch of wires, including my power supply cable to the amp, might make some distortion in the speakers... smile.gif

then have your power wire run down one side, and the audio wires down the other.

Yeah, that's a good idea, I have already tought about it and probably going to do it that way, just wanted some input.
Next question is where to run the radio antenna wire, should it go with the speakers, the powersupply (don't think so) or by itself somewhere...

the radio antenna....you should be able to use the oem in nearly every application.

Are you no longer going to utilize your oem antenna unit?

I'm pretty sure that the oem antenna and cable has been changed by a previous owner, and now I have bad signals on the radio so I think it is the radio cable or maybe the antenna, but changing the cable is easy when I'm already going to run wires for the speakers and amp...

Are you sure that the OEM antenna cable is connected in the back? There's really no reason anyone would change them around, unless they were moving the antenna all together but still, it should work just fine. What kid of head unit are you using? If it's Alpine, it might not be the antenna, it's the deck itself; they're kind of notorious for having weak signal receivers. Make sure the antenna's connected in the first place though before you go running a bunch of wires you don't need to for it - saves ya some time smile.gif

Took a look at the radio cable at the head unit end, didn't look good. It seems to have been taped to the contact instead of using the proper contact and not soldered as it should bee...i have to fix this ASAP!

btw, got a "AUX in" cable from german ebay that fits to my head unit, now I can connect my iPod in a proper way....I love it! biggrin.gif
