Wow, a 4 gauge remote wire would be insane! SO you pretty much need to run your power (4gauge wire) from the battery to the correct terminal, and the same with the remote (ACC) wire? But dont know how to do it, or where to run it? What do you mean by boot?

the boot is what us americans call the trunk of the car. I thought that there was something in the stickies about an amp install but I couldn't really find anything. I think most people run it through the firewall by either drilling a hole then using a grommet or just running it through the big bundle of wires going through there anyways. then they will run the power on one side of the car under the door sills and the output cables on the opposite side to avoid interference. You could always just pull up the carpet and run it that way as well.

Here's a link to the sticky on how to relocate the battery to the trunk/boot you could follow as well.

Run a wire from your head units ACC (red usualy) thru a toggle on your dash and then run it under the carpet/back seats to the trunk/ "boot"

lol, the Boot laugh.gif

Sorry, i've never heard it referred to a boot before, but it does make sense. lol.

A toggle switch, so that you maintain manuel control over you amp. And yeah, it all comes off pretty easy. Just drop that panel under you steering wheel.

I believe its a total of 4 philips and 4 10mm bolts, and 2 "clips" that just click in and out of place. Easy easy.

And the blue wire off of a head-unit is normally to a power antenna, witch will not give you the power to turn on your amp. Just FYI.

confused.gif

I didn't. I ran threw a hole in the driver side fire wall. Right next to the steering column.

EDIT: oh nevermind, you're UK, you cab is mirrored. My fault.

IDK if you'll have to remove it or not. You'll have to ask some UK guys.

Dude, you realy just gotta figure it out. That's EXACALY what a shop is going to do, they'll just figure it out rolleyes.gif

now if you want to deal with the hassle, then from your battary, you can follow some black lines into the fender, (remove the fender) and run them back into the cab. This is a massive PITA, but if you cant figure out anything else, it's pretty sure-fire. (it'll just take a while laugh.gif )

But i reccomend getting under that glove box, and reaching for that wire. It's where mine is wired thru. Right on the firewall, it's the best place to run it IMO. But IDK if you gotta drop the glove box or what, you'll have to figure that out on your own. Just remember where all your screws go.
