i have been cheating on the CELICA for a week now. it just feels right and i am ashamed. i still love my celica, but the Z50 has been taking over my every waking hour. i feel so torn. when i savagely pull out of the driveway in her luxurious seating, pulled by the 265 BHP VQ335E power plant coupled to the quirky yet efficient Constant Velocity Transmission, my knees go weak. Sometimes, i swear i can hear the Celica calling out to me as i glimpse one last time towards her in the rearwiew. But those mournful cries are soon quelled as i turn up the volume on the BOSE soundsystem. i know i still love my Celi, but i think i am falling in love again....

Hmm...better-looking, better-handling, more efficient hatchback...or more powerful, less efficient, worse looking SUV.
What a hard, hard choice. |

In my opinion the FX35 is much nicer, but the Murano's are still better than any American-made junk out there

Hmm...better-looking, better-handling, more efficient hatchback...or more powerful, less efficient, worse looking SUV. What a hard, hard choice. looks should never be argued. i like what i like, and so do you. as far as efficiency goes i'm getting 13l/100km combined highway/city. the celica gets around 10 so i pay 3,75$ more per 100km or 10$ more per week, back and forth to work. it desperately needs a plug change and should get 11l/100km after, so no real difference in consumption. the power is really fun and the handling is better than average for that size SUV (RAV4 CR-V). too bad it's a FWD and AUTO. it's really my weekend/long trip/family car so for me it's a no-brainer and np choice to make. my daily (and i still love it) is my CeliPig, till the day it dies (or get too expensive to fix ![]() if you ever have a chance to drive one, the transmission is curious. no gears, just a loooooong pull up to speed. -------------------- ![]() |

Alex does the Murano have auto climate or manual climate over in the states? Over here in Oz even the Ti ones are manual climate...pisses me off. Axel is my handle, you can call me Rayclimate control has an AUTO mode. nice to just jump in, dial in the temperature and drive off. it is in mine and i have the base SL AWD model. BTW how is the weather down there these days? short summer quickly going into fall on this side. -------------------- ![]() |

That looks part is true. I thought you were going to sell your Celica soon and just keep this, if you're still keeping the Celica it's a bit different. Still, I guess I just don't like SUV's. No, I lied, I like this one. ![]() |

Dr Tweak thinks like me, lol.
I instantly was like "what?" and google CVT to make sure I was correct. I wasn't sure if Nissan renamed CVT for their models or what, but I did a project on CVTs about two years ago. I'd like to learn more about then now that someone got it handling more power transfer(something we were working on, strangely enough). I think you should end this affair right quick. FX35>>> but still, SUV's = ewww. I can't be completely against them though since I will admit my parents rx350(330/350, can't remember) handels really well for an SUV. I'm guessing it's SOME of the same suspension engineering that's on heavy cars like the BMW M5. also, Constant velocity is applicable. you probably didn't just make it up on the spot, but instead brought over your knowing of CV in CV Joint. ![]() -------------------- ![]() |
