OK more info now..no leak on the piping...harness is good...ok here is what is happening,... now that i finally took time to drive the thing again....the car has a very low idle..when i drive the car hard 1st or 2nd (i wont go past 3rd or try too)..the car doesnt go past 4k rpm....you can feel the turbo spooling up..but once the car hits 4k the car jerks really bad (also the even if you try it wont go past 4k) untill you let go of gas or change gears...what do yah think now??bad head gasket??? Sounds like your using the the wrong igniter. Take it out and check the part number on it. That's what I was saying in PM Runnin-low except I completely forgot that there was a chance you were still on the 5S ignitor. I'd be willing to lay odds Lagos just hit the nail on the head. -------------------- ![]() ENGINE: '93 RC 3S-GTE/WRC CT-20b [18-20PSI] PERF: TRD/HKS/ARP/NGK/MSD/ACT/Blitz/STRI/APEX'i/TwosRus/GReddy/Magnaflo/KOYO SUSP: Tein/Bilstein/SusTech/ INT: SS-III SEATS/Toyota Hyper Sports EXT: WRC/TRD/404 Its a safety feature so that people like you don't end up killing themselves or everyone around them. ok here goes....just plugged in the 2nd gen ingintor..had to pull out the little plugs cause it wasnt the right male plug for the second gen ignitor..stuck them in the inigitor..the car just cranked over and didnt want to start. check for spark and there was none...messed with the inigitor wires for a bit...tried starting the car again..it started up then just slowly bogged down and die..tried like 5 times car kept on just dieing when it finally started..humm...ooh yeah i got to run once for a long time but when i rev it up the rev limiter just let me go up to 45-5k rpm. check the part number for the coil pack and its right for the 2nd gen check the whole wiring harness and it looks fine.. anyone have anymore clues what could be the problem.
ooh yeah cap/rotor/wires are brand new from toyota... This post has been edited by RUNNIN-LOW: Sep 2, 2008 - 1:37 PM -------------------- ![]() |

this car im working on isnt mine..it has the 2nd 3sgte swap..thats why i have a 2nd alltrac ignitor that i put on..on the 3rd gen swap you can use the stock 5sfe ignitor which im running on right now on my 3rd gen..
im not sure what the differents is between the two but there diferent?? on the wiring harness that he has i had to take the pins out ignitor plug and plug the pins into the 2nd gen ignitor so it would fit.. This post has been edited by RUNNIN-LOW: Sep 2, 2008 - 2:10 PM -------------------- ![]() |

i did dude (will) thats why i called and ask you to check the ignitor plug on yours for me..checked the wiring diagram and the way the pins are pluged into the male plug (thats goes into the ignitor) are the same... i know the plugs wont fit its different thats why i pulled out the pins from the plug and just stuck them into the ignitor..
