I noticed that a few people in the Lone Star State have been sorta wanting to get another meet together. Well, here's your chance. Johnny D and the Supra guys of Austin, Texas have once again set up another Hill Country Cruise.

QUOTE (Johnny Dangerously)
I am always pleased to announce these Austin Hill Country Sprints/Cruise's every time the opportunity arises. The buzz has been going around for quite a while due to the fact that I did not throw one back in May of '08..The people have salivated for months for the next cruise, for it is definitely one of the greater meets that the automotive enthusiasts of Texas create for the people....for the enthusiasts.

Now here we are, inching closer and closer to the date of November 1st and 2nd, as we throw yet another amazing cruise. The beauty of seeing many automotive enthusiasts that stretch from all over the great state of Texas and even go out as far as bringing people from Louisiana, Oklahoma and Mississippi to show their immense love and respect for the Austin Hill Country. With over hundreds of miles of twists and curves, ups and downs, brake and gas, the cruise's never get old. Those that attend this meet/cruise bring a wide variety of vehicles that originate from all over the world. Be it old school American muscle, new school American power, European vehicular elegance to the best cars that come from the Land of the Rising Sun; Japan.

Every showing has been greater than the next in our 2-day event as we expand our company, our hospitality, our routes and our enthusiasm. I am looking forward to seeing you there, you have been guaranteed a great experience.

Date: November 1st and 2nd (That falls on a Saturday and Sunday)

Route: Will be posted on this initial post in due time. With that said, we will definitely hit some of the great roads that we have done in the past...that is without question. smile.gif

Hotel that we will be all staying in:
Red Roof Inn Austin -University of Texas (#258)
I-35 at Stassney Lane/Ben White Boulevard
4701 South I-35, Austin, TX, United States, 78744
Phone: (512) 448-0091 Fax: (512) 448-0272

Directions to the Hotel:
Directions
Located 6.3 miles south of downtown Austin.
Traveling on I-35 South: Exit at Stassney Lane, exit #229, and u-turn onto the northbound I-35 access road. This Red Roof Inn will be on the right.

Traveling on I-35 North: Exit at Ben White Boulevard, exit #230, and remain on the northbound I-35 access road. This Red Roof Inn will be approximately 1 mile ahead on the right.

The meeting spot for Saturday AND Sunday @ 11am!!!
Fuddruckers Parking Lot, 4024 South Lamar, Austin, Tx. 78704

People generally ask me "Is this purely just a cruise?" Well...no, its not. Though the meet/sprint/cruise is our primary reason for coming out to Austin, we also loved the city! So with that in mind, after the cruise is done on Saturday the 1st, we all generally have a group dinner and then head out to downtown 5th and 6th street to celebrate the power and beauty of our youth's smile.gif So please join us for some after-cruise festivities in an adventurous night!

Here is a video of a cruise we hosted over a year ago
http://myspacetv.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=...videoid=4102973

Im more than positive other members that have been here will post some pictures they have taken over the years that we have hosted the Austin Hill Country Sprint/Cruise. Thanks and we'll see ya there

Hopefully my Supra will be done and ready by then.

^ you better!

gas prices have come down so much i hope they stay this way or lower by the time the meet rolls around.
sure makes it easier on our wallet which is nice since R2 has to have 93 octane.
at least he gets 24-26 mpg with mixed highway/city & lots of boosting biggrin.gif
i'll be curious to see what we can get from lots of highway driving & not much boost.

Oh I'm definitely going, but it'll probably be for Saturday only; I've got my bowling class mid-afternoon on Sunday out in Humble. kindasad.gif It's a little inconvenient that it falls in between pay weeks though.

BTW, I'm probably going to need to find a new used block/engine soon. I was on a slight decline (little steeper than a normal driveway) this morning after dropping my mom off for her computer class, and I could seriously hear my car knocking. kindasad.gif I hope it doesn't blow till like Thanksgiving or X-mas.

Just an FYI, the planned cruise route is 93 miles to Marble Falls from the rendezvous spot. From there, the group will split in two: Route A is mostly highway runs with some twisties here and there and Route B is what they call the Lime Creek Dare Devils run.

Seems really sketchy, not a lot of people are responding on this thread.

Im going for sure, how many 6g's are going? I know Kerri and Joe are taking R2.

I was assuming we were all just meeting at fuds at 11 a.m right?

we're going to be caravaning down in R2 with 3-4 local MKIII Supra's.
been working on R2 all weekend attempting to get him a little more presentable - a bit of a losing battle kindasad.gif
i've been keeping up with the thread on supramania & it doesn't seem sketchy to me zero ... everyone has been really friendly & nice there to me even though i don't have a Supra.
seems like they are well organized & have maps made for everyone with the routes we'll be taking.

I think he means sketchy on this side because no one's really responded in this thread lately. Eitherway, I'll be heading out with some supra buddies from the katy area Saturday morning and probably have the girlfriend in tow.

Your heading out Katy way [I-10]? I learned my lesson on that one one the way back last time - it's way farther. I'll be heading out Sat morning down 290. Anybody wants to roll with me - PM me biggrin.gif

Lisa and I were just talking about that - if we don't have the kids we're down to stay but we're broke so we're gonna need something cheap. And yeah - they are doing the same thing on Sunday IIRC. biggrin.gif
