Would it be possible or even feasible to try and buy/design, Variable Valve Timing for a 5S-FE engine? I like the idea of it and thought i could be a way to increase my hp considering its almost impossible to find performance parts for my car. I'm in college and I believe I would have everything need at my disposal.

Yeah it would be cool but its impossible because of the slave-cam gear system, but Ive Heard of a model called the 3S-FSE that had both VVT-i and D4 Direct Injection, although im sure the Head is vastly different from a normal 3S-FE.... So im sure it would be a waste of time to attempt it

therefor if i had a 3sfe in my car i could throw that on? or would the beams head even work?

well in theory a 5S-FE is basically a stroked 3S-FE pushing displacement to 2.2L as apposed to 2.0L. I believe the two have different timings though, But the 3S-FSE's head seems to be a drastic change from the normal 3S-FE head and i highly doubt it would bolt up to a 5S-FE block without extreme Modifications. the head from a BEAMS 3S-GE I don't know if it could bolt up either, Although ive heard of a stroker kit for the 3S-GE and 3S-GTE that also pushes displacement too 2.2L or at least ive heard of it
