nvm.. just a tip, make sure the nipple hole on the t-stat is on the top. that way the air bubbles can go through it. now enjoy the heat! smile.gif btw it's gonna be relatively warm for the next 7 days.. you're a week too late biggrin.gif

I have to do mine too. Did you get the 180F or the high temp 192F one? Partsource has the 192 while napa had the 180.

And did you guys use gasket sealer (that ultra black) stuff around the gasket area? Or just scraped the area with a screwdriver and called it a day?

there's an o-ring gasket for the thermostat so you don't need to use gasket sealer when your putting the water neck back on. however it's recommended that you always use a new gasket ($2) everytime you replace the thermostat. i used a hotter thermostat from PartsSource my first time but it was defective so instead I went with an OEM one for the reliability and peace of mind and have had good results. with the extra vents of the gt4, no hood insulator and -30 weather we're having, i'm definitely gonna switch back to a hotter t-stat the next time because the car just won't warm up fast enough and is losing more heat than it is generating.
