What are my options with upgrading to larger brakes on the celly? Are there any other cars that have interchangeable rotors/spindles that are larger? Also, is there anywhere that I can buy a GT4 front suspension in the US? I have a Gen III 3sgte, and eventually plan on going AWD once I find the trans..then i'll rip up the floor panels and change the gas tank out and put all of the parts necessary on it to make it AWD. I just need to know who can bring in JDM parts. I've been talking to Joel at Toysport in Cali, and every once in a while he has someone go to Japan and bring back parts (that's how I got my head gasket), but is there anyone that orders those parts directly from Japan? Thanks in advance for the help guys!

7th Gen stuff swaps over from what I've seen. You should be able to use a 7th gen big brake setup.
I know there's one setup that puts I believe a 13" rotor onthe fronts of a GT brake setup, and then uses caliper relocation brackets. This kit is only about $600 as opposed to $1200-1500 for a true big brake system with new calipers and everything. -------------------- |

yo Jay. i think you can buy the rear clip of a st205. ![]() i think my dad is giving in. he might help me out. that's a sick deal man, i'd help you do the swap for free if i got the AWD tranny..crap i'd do it for you..lol. I don't know exactly everything I need for the AWD conversion. I do know i'll need the GT4 gas tank because of the rear axle, and I would obviously need the rear axle/driveshaft, and I'm pretty sure i would need the front axles and spindles, maybe even shocks..i don't know how much of that stuff you're getting. I'm thinking about finding a junk AWD 5th gen on island and making the stuff fit. Check ebay japan then see what shipping options are to here. If I had extra cash I would pitch in so you could get that shipped here. -------------------- -Jay

Jay i checked out the clip you suggested. every looks kinda banged up ![]() ![]() well, with this one you know exactly what you're getting though, they show the gauges from the compression test, i can replace the boot, and i'm pretty sure that the driveshaft can't be bought at napa or toyota, so i would just order just the cv joint and replace it myself, or just replace the boot. I expect stuff like that with a JDM install..boots will rip, there are places online that sell only cv boots. but if you aren't comfortable going with that one then that's cool. Do you have a well lit garage area to do this? What about tools? I have an engine lift that I can bring if you need it. -------------------- -Jay
