Awhile ago Jeff told me to consolidate my crap so here goes

Spec:
1996 USDM ST

Stage 1:
-invader body kit, custom bumper scoop, Velox VX-6 18" wheels, Arospeed Coilovers, GT4 rear strut bar, several different exhausts, JDM tails, 5th gen power folding mirrors

Stage 2:
- supra front end conversion (only 75% completed at any given point)

all in all, it got the whole deal of under glow, interior neon, subs, amps, dual/single exhausts, CAI, SRI, TWM SSK, and most things under the sun you can do as a ricer.

now......that stuff comes to an end and the story starts over

Step 1: remove horrible front end

Step 2: remove motor (note you can see missing "sub" frame here

Step 3: power wash clean the empty bay

Step 4: Jack stands on 4 corners and remove suspension

Step 5: pointlessly tape up and start stripping

Step 6: black primer

Step 7: ditch the interior internals

Step 8: drive to jersey in overheating truck to get a bare clip (don't forget to remove excess)

Step 9: remove donor firewall

9b: remove my firewall

Step 10: replace with donor wall

Step 11: find Ultra super dooper mad JDM elephant tite Curren parts, drive Ghetto nascar van to get it

Step 12: install Ultra super dooper mad JDM elephant tite Curren parts

Step 14: ditch the sunroof its way too heavy

Step 15: ditch spare tire well, make more room under car smooth out floor board

Step 16: remove glass from doors (heavy, and you can't have windows up while racing)

Step 17: paint engine subframe hot pink because you can

Step 18:
Realize your garage sucks so put up ceiling: only partially finished, gotta get more and clean out the crap a lot more
(its a temp garage so we make do) car modification pictures will come soon smile.gif

Step: 19 Carbon fiber license plate trim

more to come soon as I get more done smile.gif

I don't hangout with celica/toyota people in the MAR. I'm around the Euro scene every once in awhile.
Only time celicas get together is if some of us really old members get dinner or something (maybe 1 celica shows up, the rest of us have other cars)
But you are always welcome to come out thumbsup.gif

he will likely fill the hole with new goodies and then weld it in, or use some sik-o bolt action.

I don't think the spare-tire well is going to be a major harm in the rigidity or strength of the car, but w/ the amount of effort in this project I see it being covered.

no difficulties. It will be replaced with a welded in piece and not compromise any integrity at all thumbsup.gif

And i'll probably end up with a cage in the car so it'll be rock solid. smile.gif

I'm going to retire before this gets completed! tongue.gif

How long did the firewall swap take you? There is a guy selling a halfcut nearby that I was contemplating stealing the firewall, dash, and all associated goodies out of.

i'd pick it up if you can.

Swapping the firewall is about ~10 hours of actual work. Achievable in a weekend of hard work no problems.

cause if I have both already in my garage it makes financial sense to check and see if it works wink.gif
if not i'll just buy a rack....if it does...i have a rack and money to put towards another mod
