Long story short I have a Veilside body kit and just installed the front bumper to check the fitment. EVERYTHING lines up perfect (fenders, lights) except for the hood. There is about a 1/4 inch gap between the bumper and hood. (please note this is just a test fit, bumper has alot of imperfections that will be repaird in the future)

Your missing your weather striping that goes there.

Would make sence, I was thinking of throwing a piece of rubber in there anyway lol. Is this something that would have been on the stock bumper? If so it may still be on there and I just over looked it...

I was gonna say the same thing: it's missing the rubber seal. I'mnot sure if that one's on the hood or on the bumper though. But sticking one in that place would definitely sort the problem in a correct manner.
By the way, I am planning on ordering the same bumper, heheh.
Let me know if you run into problems please, so I can foresee them when i get mine, and maybe we can solve them together...

Yep it's on the stock bumper. It's got a thin sheet of metal that bolts it to the bumper. You had to have taken the weather stripping off to take off the front bumper originally.

Total after shipping was like around $350 I think. I got it off ebay, has alot of problems though. For example, the rear is cracked right down the center. Looks like the person tried to repair it with hot glue and twist ties. I've already repaired that crack (re-fiberglassed) and will post pics of everything as soon as I'm done.

AH, so yours was 2nd hand?
I guess it's not a bad price though.
I can get one for 150 GBP (ex P&P), which they claim to be Veilside, but they also state some adjustments may be required to fit it properly, which makes me wonder if it really is...

actually, I don't... If I use the pre-crunch exchange rate, th ebumper price I stated is exactly teh bumper price you would probably pay in teh States, assuming 800 US$ for a full veilside body kit...
But with the hint of cynisism I would take it that the one I mentioned is probably not real veilside...?

Okay my friend, I have a problem with my front bumper. I order a new bumper, but the damn thing is made to wrap around the front part of the fenders i guess. The one i have on currently goes right up to the fenders like yours. How can I get the new one on and did you have this issue. The shop says the new one is wider also. how can that be?
