My door handles are very faded. I want to repaint them. Is there a way to take them off, or should I just cover around them and paint it. Also, what are my options paint-wise? Like spray, brush, etc... And where would I get the paint?

Because getting a spray/brush/or any kind of paint would be FRIKKIN hard to match other than mixing paint to get the right shade. Try and see how black would look. Or take it to a body shop and see how much they'll charge to spray those pieces, shouldn't be much. That's just my opinion, what does the rest of the 6GC community think??? |

i would not get the paint at a regular auto parts store. even their 3L2 red is not really accurate. plus, they tend to be 'watery' and doesn't really give out a good finish imo. i would go to a special paint shop and have them prepare a spray can for you. here it costs $40 for a custom spray can, where as normal auto parts store carry the 3L2 red spray can for ~$13. red is very hard to match so i would definitely pay the extra $$ to make sure the color and finish match.

That looks damn near flawless. I couldn't ever spray that well, very nice job ![]() -------------------- ~Moving on to a 2002 Corolla S~ R.I.P Tom Celica - 1994-2010 |

In the pic, the finish looks a little less glossy. That's because the handles are plastic and what you're comparing it to is metal. ![]() -------------------- '97 ST \ Eibach \ KYB \ Kenwood \ Alpine \ Cusco \ OEM+ [sold 10/18]

If I were you, I won't spray the little rubber peace that is around your door handle. Anywhere I see that rubber peace is painted, paint is crumbling off ![]() Succes ![]() |
