Wanna pry off your front bumper and hood and send them to me? I'll pay for shipping! biggrin.gif

Beautiful car man. Just beautiful. Don't do too much to it, it looks great already.

OMG I just took delivery last night. I'm so essited! I'm assuming its the wrc because of the exhaust shield adn the riser on the wing but can canyone confirm this? I'm new to 6th gens I owned a 4th gen for the last 7 years, so I plan on diving headfirst into the game

I bought my ST205 from those guys too. Thats my 1993 GT4 in the back ground. Congrats. I think the one you got has TRD supention with slotted front disks? They had two black ones for sale. Very nice ride wink.gif

I don't know about the suspension...it is green...and yes the front discs are slotted. The suspension seems really stiff, you can really feel the bumps in the road and potholes....I thought maybe something was wrong or worn but I haven't had a chance to get under there. Maybe you are right and it is something new and stiffer?

green is tein usuall, i think some trd's were green also.

The wing is no way to tell whats a WRC/Group A and what isnt, just look at half the cars on here, all fwd, most NA and they have the riser blocks.

the WRC/Group A got things like: anti lag, water injection (the parts are there but the ecu doesnt run them) intercooler spray bar, bonnet spoiler (most have this, its there to reduce bonnet flex at high speed). Some say they had extra welding points over the non grp A/WRC but its not confirmed.

They didnt make any more power then the non group A/WRC so technically they are probably a tiny bit slower because of the small ammount of extra weight, but are more sort after because of rarity...and who doesnt want to say their car came with anti lag stock, hehe.

yea I got some green ones on mine too. Guessing Tein from what everyone else is saying. And yea my ride is super stiff as well, I don't know if the stock ones are much better either since my old ST202 was pretty bad as well. I'm guessing adjustable coil overs are the only way to make it comfortable.

guess I'll have to look closer and see if there is a brand stamped on the struts somewhere.

ANd yah it is definitely the wrc. Its impossible to look at everything because its parked in the shop at work until I pass my inspection and I obviously can't just crawl around underneath it when I'm supposed to be working

They are not teins the are trd with 4 point adjustable damping. Pop of the rubber grommets and you will see the adjustment. I was going to swap them with my stock ones and decided to much work. Here is a link http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/TRD-Shock-...per-Strut-53620. I talked to them yesterday and they said it was not a wrc. But it sure dose look like one.

Nice buy! Those wheels will look good on it, if they fit.

is he saying mine isn't a wrc? I'm confused.

I can understand how someone could easily put on the hood vent and riser blocks to make it look like one but what would be the purpose of putting in a non-functional anti-lag pot and the different heat shield under the hood?

"Always nice to meet someone who knows more than you about your own car lol"

Well I did know what suspension he had and he did not. I also inspected this car and drove it a few times.

"you talked to who? and what car are you talking about?"

I talked to Izzat, if you bought the one with 168XXXkms right? If so then I am referring to your car.

I was in the market for a ST205 and I looked at this car for a couple of weeks drove it a few times great car just was not for me. I never saw anything that said that it was a WRC. They brought in a red one and bought it. After reading this post I talked to them and asked them if it was a WRC and they told me "no". either the did not know it was WRC or it is not. If they did not know it was a WRC then you got a smokin deal, most I see go for around 10-13k Isn't there a way to know from the Vin#? And by the way in no way am I putting your car down, it is a Mint Celica, the ks were a little high for me and I wanted a red one.

ok fair enough tongue.gif ....I thought his name was izzap......I've been calling him Izzap since the beginning Ha. From the limited research I've done (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong) it doesn't say wrc anywhere on it, the wrc has the different heat shield, the anti-lag components, the water sprayer setup, and the hood spoiler and riser blocks, now I'm not saying that someone couldn't easily have added the riser blocks and hood spoiler but the other components all appear to be in place. Like I say I haven't looked underneath much since I got it but I have been cleaning the engine bay and trying to get a feel for what is going on in there for the last couple weeks (I have to do something cuz I certainly can't drive it yet)
