BTW, what happened to the clutch that was originally in your car when you bought it?
I remember Steve put in one of those F1 clutches from ebay. Wondering how that held up?

haha its in there now... when my comp clutch went, i had the ebay one lying around the garage from when i fixed the swap.. i needed the car running so i put it in, its been good to me so far, i have an ACT waiting for when it goes

PS. someone needs to punt steve square in his nuts

Thats great to hear!
I honestly think that 90% of all clutches are made by the same manufacture and then insanely marked up based on some kind of brand name loyalty.
I think id go for the f1 when the time comes to replace mine. Cant beat a puck clutch kit for about 150bucks!

just to chime in about f1 clutches. when i sold my mr2, the guy decided to do a 3rd gen swap and buy an f1. i've personally driven it and it's been holding up great for a year +.

long story short, got the tranny all out. all this sh*t was caused by a sh8tty throw out bearing. friction still looked good, springs were still in place. Thank you guys for all your help and insight. Have an ACT 6 puc in there now with a shiny new timken throw out. Thanks again guys.
