So I have been posting all types of 6th gen wrapped parts on here. Seems like a good buzz but nobody really wants to put up the scratch. That's fine, the stuff is expensive. I have all kinds of Carbon Fiber projects in the works. Here are some original handcrafted earrings. Just wanted to get some feedback on what y'all think. Would your girl or wifey sport these?

LOL Yeah, CF earrings/Guitar Picks!

Sorry, guitar picks were the first thing that came to mind by their shape. I thought they would be some thick hoops. Maybe that could be another idea for you?

The girl wouldn't...but I would! Only if you make them for 9/16" holes! wink.gif

They are?! Shoot, I am sure we have members here who play guitar and are Carbon Fiber Ka-RAAAAAZY!
Excellent! I do not know much about hoop sizes, but I might be interested in a pair of those myself. Especially if they are very small and flat, for the top of the ear (cartilage piercing), so that it hugs like a cuff... Oh hell yeah.

Make something in a 4 gauge, and I'm in.

Honestly, I don't know the first thing about jewelry. These were sort of a side project that ended up looking nice. I would love to make all the things you guys suggest. Do you have pictures of the things you are talking about? I could try to replicate these things in CF. The picks don't work so well as actual guitar picks. They are either to solid or shred from...well shredding. So my lil sis suggested I throw them on an earring and bam. They look nice. Keep the ideas coming guys.

Sure thing,
A 4 gauge is 5mm thick in the center, the ones I have flare out to 6mm on each end.

So, getting it to work with the guitar pick would more than likely be difficult, as it wouldn't quite want to fit. However, another idea would be to have one end taper to 6mm, 5mm center, then possibly a 7-8mm end on the front that shows the carbon fiber. This would look pretty nice, and would give the appearance of 0 gauges. However, I wouldn't expect this to be easily done, and am fully prepared for you to shoot it down due to it being hard to make. However, I have yet to see any gauged earrings with any CF whatsoever, and I think you'd have quite a lot of interested customers if you were to produce some.

Here's how it looks in my ear,

(yeah, I need a shave... haven't bothered since it's finals week...)

My opinion, good sir; is that you have a very nice camera and need a shave.

Nice guitar pics BTW. But i'm not sure i'd play my guitar with them. don't they split and terrorize the E & B strings?
