Hey everyone, been a while since I made a post. But, WTH, I am getting my new clutch installed tomorrow and was wondering what safety precautions I need to take on it?? I have never had to replace a clutch in any car I have owned. Please let me know.

drive it like usual for a few hundred miles, then you can hammer on it

ya i was told u need to baby it for the first 500miles b4 u can get on it, u have to let it break in

Just out of curiosity how much is that gona cost you?

Don't forget to have your flywheel turned, people cheap out on that and skip it, which is really stupid. Also, be sure to replace your throwout bearing while you're in there.

a few tips.
like griffy said, make sure you have the flywheel resurfaced. (be sure your machine shop knows its a "stepped" flywheel)
be sure to clean everything off very well with brake cleaner.
use high quality high temp grease to LIGHTLY lube the input shaft, splines, pivot ball and fork ends, wiping any exess away.
use blue locktite on the threads of the flywheel bolts.
once the flywheel is bolted on, clean it well with brake cleaner, then let it air dry, while you put on a fresh pair of rubber gloves.
do not touch the clutch disk surface with anything, especially any kind of grease or oil. if you dont have an alignment tool for the clutch disk, a 19mm deep socket works, you just need to be sure the disk is centered as you tighten down the pressure plate.
when you reinstall the tranny, dont let it hang on the input shaft.
