Yeah, I've been trying to find pix of some but haven't found any. I would love to see some Celicas with a really nice stance or a nicely tucked engine bay.

seems like the hellaflush fad hasn't reached the celi crowd yet. But I agree would be nice to see how a 6gc would look like.

reason why you are not seeing flushed out celicas is because they are very impractical. You cant get up or down the ramps, you cant get over speed bumps, you cant drive over potholes, you cant drive over little bumps.

It gets old really really really fast.

Unless its a strictly show car with fully adjustable suspension I would not advise to even go there.

#1, if you run flush wheels you have to raise your car
#2, you would have to cut or roll your fenders real good to fit flush wheels to maintain a nice and low ride

I wouldn't do #1 just to go super flush like a drift car, I wouldn't do #2

its about preference and practicality. we don't have 240s where our fender rim is narrow and thin to accomodate it that easily.

^ LOL how embarrassing.

@yarik83:
I think you are wrong you can have a flush wheeled car but not have it super low. Take this for example,

Flush but yet high and looking good. Sure my car isnt the lowest here but the lowest point it 6-7cm, and i run around the town fine. Speed bumps, ramps fine. It just takes that extra bit of effort.

It doesnt get old at all quickly the VIP scene has been doing it for years.

Where have you been for the last three years? Not on this site, that's for sure.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Christian's car. Yeah, that's probably the nicest engine bay I've seen thus far. So freaking slick!

#1 - no, you don't have to raise your car.
#2 - yes, you HAVE to roll your fenders, front and rear. Cutting is a dumb idea, you can roll them in 30 minutes and be done with it.
#3 - we have wide fenders, which means we can fit wider wheels.

it works just fine, other wise I would be breaking newtons laws or something like that. We have tall arches, but tire choice fixes that issue. Don't stretch a 35 series tire on a 17in wheel and it will look fine.

aye it works but it is harder to do the 6GC then many other cars as it was designed to sit higher and allow for more movements of the suspension components, i seem to remember reading the design criteria for the ST205 (which is essentially the same as all the ST20 chassis) was to take the ST185 and make it better especially for winning the WRC, pity the car got disqualified and banned for a year lol

you have gone through a lot of experimentation to get to where you car is at now "hard" could mean money, how much have you spent on your tyres/rims/arch rolling, how much graft did you put into it to make it look that sweet it won't have been a walk in the park

whiners? people have just given their reasons for not wanting to do it or beliefs that it is harder (harder meaning difficult or costly done properly) to do on the 6GC then some of the more commonly "hella flushed" cars

take yours for example. you cut your arches right off and they don't look like they have been treated, they wouldn't last 1 winter in some where like the UK, corrosion would set in big time big time but rust prevention is easy. we have to move onto the amount of flex the arch will now have, if some one walks into your car it will most probably fold the arch like tin foil, but, it looks good though.

these aren't whines just counter arguments

Tom_ss2: If your car is hellaflushed, that means it will probably be slammed, and on some nice rims. Why would you even think about driving it in the winter?
