Well, it seems Ferdi may not be able to make it to this meet, so I'll try to take over from here, still pending if i can make it myself. Ill try hard to be there but in the event i cant, Yarik and Axel will have to take charge here.

DATE:

First off, im gonna propose a date change, from SAT, JUL 3 to SAT, JUL 10

- due to the holiday weekend. I foresee the area being overcrowded on the 3rd, which may lead to us not getting parks together, not getting a place to grill/sit/eat, not to mention extreme traffic and higher risks being on the highways with everyone booze-ing themselves up, safety is a priority to me, i want to see your celicas in one piece.

IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE CHANGE PLEASE POST! otherwise i wont know who can make it and who cant.


LOCATION:

Fort Desoto Park is still the place! <-------- Click the link for google maps, and to get directions, etc!

The only change to the location, is that im going to be more specific and say that we will meet at the NORTH BEACH PORTION <---- a link to PDF file which breaks down the different parts of ft desoto park, North beach is in the NW corner-ish.



BRING:

-Your 6GC! (if possible)
-CAMERAS, camcorders!!
-Swimming attire if you want... it is a beach.
-Food ---> LINK TO CLOSEST WALMART SUPERCENTER

• chips
• drinks
• charcoal
• burgers
• buns ... for burgers.
• w/e else you hunger for!

Hey guys. Sorry to say that I won't be adding my name to the attendee list. I've decided to go to Europe to work for a few months instead, so I most likely won't be here on the meet date as my plan is to book a flight within the next few weeks. However, I'd still like to do a winter meet because if this meet can be successful, so can one a few months down the road.

My only stipulation is that I've had to make a couple repairs to my car and I'm not sure if I'm going to have the money.

If my new sales job at Fucillo Hyundai pans out (I'm sure you guys are familiar with him, he's pretty big) then I'll be there, but if not, I likely won't be.

Making a grand a week could be nice though (:

do you all want to meet at the walmart first and then go down there to the beach?

I just want people to show up. We can meet anywhere you like.

im not familiar either. the link for the walmart location is above there. we can get all our foodstuffs etc and caravan down.

midday. 12pm! give everyone ample time to get there without waking up ultra early.

So im sitting here ona sunday morning just thinking...

Here is the problem with meeting at walmart or any place for that matter.

Im going to draw on example of our past meet. I was supposed to meet ferdi and samir behind Denny's... I missed the sign and never saw it so kept driving and ferdi was running late.. in the end samir caught up with me and ferdi came in late to the meeting spot.

Problem is that everyone gets to places at different times. Up north we used to meet up along the rest stops on i-95. They were 30 miles apart and we would set a time frame.. like 10-10:15 and if peeps dont catch up then next meeting place was lets say 12-12:15 etc.

For what it's worth, I think it worked very well to wait at the meet location and then caravan to the store (mostly because I got a ride in two 3S swapped Celicas!).

well. im not sure if we have to pay a fee first of all, dont want to encounter it 2x. BUT if you all want, we dont have to meet at walmart. just bring whatever you are bringing when you are coming. if we need to make a list about who is bringing what so there is no confusion (i.e. 2 sets of buns and no burger meat) we'll do so here.

I'm personally not surprised that Samir is telling people to bring their buns.

Just finished my move to Tampa two days ago. 16 hours drive straight down here from Ohio. Uggg I was wiped out!
Good news is that I'm definitely in. Bad news is that the painting deal in Ohio went really sour and my Celica is only in grey primer now.

Nothing bad about riding in primer. Have you seen what my car looked like for 2 years? It was multicolored and ugly.. its still multicolored but less ugly.

Yeah, but the f-ed up part is that the SOB (who I considered to be my friend for 6 years) still owes me $1,400.

hey though, maybe grey primer will be the new flat black. no seriously though, don't let that deter you from bringing the 6gc!
