Hey,
So i need to replace my '94 bumper. Thought i'd go to a 96+. I read the several posts here saying it was bolt on and fits the exact same as the 94/95 just the turn signals wont fit and you have to do some wiring for the fogs. No problem. I phone up toyota and they say they are 100% sure the 96-99 bumper will not fit the 94. Are they just not well educated or is there something different about the Canadian reinforcement bar behind the bumper that makes them fit different? The shop is reluctant to order me a 96+ bumper because of this. |

the canadian bumpers and reinforcement bars are the same. the dealers are just covering their ass from potential headaches by saying 96+ bumpers don't fit. also, you'll end up paying 2 to 3 times more by buying from a local canadian dealer than buying from 1sttoyotaparts.com.

it will fit. When I got my whole fender and bumper ripped off in the parking lot at work I put a 97 bumper on my 95. Fits perfect and like you said, all I had to do was change the turn signals.

I just put a '97 bumper on my '95 because I got into an accident. It works perfectly fine. If you get the fogs, you just need a special adapter off the crash bar.
It bolts on the same and lines up perfect. Don't let the dealer tell you otherwise, they are dumbsh!ts |

is it that you have to rewire the turns? or just the turn signal physically does not fit on the bumper and you need to buy the 96+ light?
also, mind telling me how much the dealer is asking? |

The lights/sockets for the turn signals are exactly the same. Only difference is the housings.

to exactly answer your question, you need new turn signals. the 94-95 turn signals DO NOT fit on the 96-99 bumpers. The bulb and socket are the same, it's just a completely different housing that is on the bumper.
