okay guys, i hate to do it but i think i have to get rid of the celica after all the work i put into it.

i'm losing my storage due to some problems and if i can't get it running in the next 5 days it is going out into the cold and i won't be able to work on it......

i'll continue trying to wrok on it to figure it out, but if not it has to go

details
1997 celica st, limited edition.
5 speed.

127k miles on body and trans.
clutch was replaced at 122k miles
the engine in it is from my 94 that ran great, has all new gaskets and belts on it.
doesn't leak or burn any oil.

no rust anywhere.

alot of extra parts.
including jdm tails, installed.
stock usdm tails, nightshaded.
oem side skirts, not installed
like new tires on aftermarket 15inch 5 lug universal rims
like new winter tires on steelies
extra hatch with 2 post spoiler
extra door panels
almost brand new kyb replacements with less than 500 miles on all 4
2" dropzone lowering springs
brand new front end parts never installed, tie rod ends and ball joints
ebay header and downpipe, installed.
2 extra hoods. 1 can only be used with hood pins, good condition
other hood is black and useable but could use work.
7th gen short shifter installed.
airbags are good, and has a clean title.
and stock fog lights for facelift bumper.

interior is very nice.
also , brand new in box never opened vincent doggy items to include:
short throw shift boot black w/red stiching
arm rest cover
e-brake cover
seat covers, full set
and door cards.

i'm sure there is stuff i'm forgetting and i hate to do this but it looks like i'm going to have to
get rid of the car until i get back from basic and ait and can afford another one.

just the extra parts alone add up to 1000 dollars, looking for best offer. putting it on craigslist too.
would love to see this go to a fellow 6gc member who could give it the little care it deserves and
get it running and on the road.

as soon as it runs, its ready for the road.

will hopefully give it one more shot... borrowing a timing gun and multimeter tomorrow... don't really know how to use them, but
i will give it a best effort.

go to walmart, they sell a car cover for 40 bucks, then leave it out in the snow. My vert was out in the snow a couple of days.

come spring figure it out. you will regret selling it ... believe me...

Don't even need to cover it, I store mine outside in the winter and just let the snow accumulate. I clear it off but it still just sits in the open. this is the second year doing it and I haven't seen any issues with the paint.
Are you interested in selling some of the parts? or just trying to get rid of it?

if i can't figure anything out tomorrow, i will consider getting rid of some of the parts depending on what they may be.

if i do figure something out, i will roll it out and cover it up until i get the parts needed.

Its not about the paint. you wont see rust chewing your paint until is too late..

keeping the car as dry as possible is what counts. Yes outside is bad, but a cover helps, but leaving out in the snow, and having the snow seep trough the cracks when in melts on warmer days is a bad recipe... just my .02
