Morning guys,
Does anyone know what the spark plug gap should be on the 7A-FE 1.8 engine, I just wanted to give mine a check, cheers.

Really? I looked at my repair manual and I searched online when I replaced my plugs and both said 0.028

.028 sounds a little tight, thats getting into turbo applications. are you sure that not in MM?

100% positive. I looked it up online and my Haynes repair manual said so. 0.028 inches.

do you guys use copper plugs or the platnum ones. because i know like iridium and platnum one donthave to be gap checked.and also if you try to change the gap lol yea... doesnt work so well. i found out first hand.

Yeah they do have to be gap checked. The gap for my car is 0.028 and the platinum NGK plugs I got were all gapped to 0.035. To just need to be careful and use a wire gap tool instead of the conventional one.

BGB says 0.8mm (0.031 in.)
