The first couple seconds is me showing where the noise is generally coming from, but you can hear it as well. It's a popping noise. Then I put the mic closer to hear it louder. What could that be? -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09

sounds like your timing belt cover is loose. Apply pressure to the cover and see if the sound goes away.

did you replace your waterpump? Yeah. I did timing belt and water pump about 3k miles ago. Another thing, this noise only comes out when I'm at nominal temperature. -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09

Its the trans coupler inverter shaft bearings behind the oil pump, for sure.

Belt dont have no knicks does it?
and only a Normal operating temp? It's for sure comming outta the belt area? could be some of the componet bearings. -------------------- QUOTE (presure2 @ Nov 6, 2010 - 6:16 AM) Via FB: fcuking awsome!!! D-man FTW! Previous owners sound like they didn't know what "maintenance" meant. I'm just fixing things as they break. The belts are good. And yeah, it's definitely coming from that area and only at nominal temp, which means about 750-900rpm -------------------- taking too long to mod since '09

just for giggles...get it warmed up, take the accessory belts off (I know, a pain) and then run the engine. If it still makes the noise it could be a timing belt idler or tensioner pulley bearing making noise. Sometimes they only make noise at a specific RPM or at high speeds the belt has enough force to make them spin.

ANY Click nose comes with a Vibration. Just a first though. (it's how i do it) worse case- Gimmie call. You got my new number still, yeah? not that unlikely, but somewhat unlikely for that kind of knocky noise. Not impossible though....
