Does it happen when you rev the motor in neutral? Coasting after accelerating? Does it stop after a certain RPM or Speed?

in neutral its all good, the engine rev 7k no problem whitout any knocking

its start gradually and knock faster when a get faster, (the knock sound follow the rpm)

its not knocking under 2k rpm

i did not try to speed up more...

im pretty sure its one or two ball bearing have pop out while i bolt the front axle in tranny, cause i push too much on it and make it pop by inside, ,
when installing mr2 front axle, whit spacer, it look like we have to dont push it all the way back in or out while installing it, but keep it centered

im pretty sure it's that axle you put together that kept on popping out without driving. did you really need another post on top of all your crap that you've posted? and the fact that you knew the axle probably wasn't joined right...

i dont know what transmission u have, but theres a axle bearing on the right axle. so if u dont have the bracket that holds it your are going to hear that knocking sound. its not a wheel bearing because wheel bearings dont knock when they go bad they make a grinding sound the wheel might shake but it wont knock... the other thing is that if u have a bad motor mount u wont hear the knocking while u are sitting there but when u start to drive the engine will start shaking and bumpin that metal in the motor mount making which will make a knocking sound. and if your exhaust is lose it will make a knocking sound to while you are driving. either way it goes i wouldnt drive it ontill u find out what it is knocking is never good

Really bad wheel bearings can ahve a sort of knocking sound to them.
I guess it all depends on the words you use to describe it, but when my wheel bearing went it was so loud that you could actually feel it through the floor.
I just thought cause the sound speeds up as the car does it was a really bad wheel bearing that he messed up on his own.

well if it doesnt make any sound revving in neutral, and gets louder the faster u go w/o making any sound when under 2k rpm.. i wouldn't think its the axle or a bearing or anything like that... those don't care what gear or rpm range your in, the only thing that matters there is pure speed... the only way those could b relevant would b if ur talking about only 1st gear... with those ruled out, that leaves clutch and internal transmission.

Sometimes you can't always hear the bearing right from the start, i mean 2500 rpm in first gear isn't too fast. That sounds like the same problem with my wheel bearings whent hey went bad.

Does it start at 2500 rpm in Every gear? or only in first gear?

its start around 2500 in every gear, in fact ist look like its doing it soon as i ask for some power, maybe something wrong whit the spacer, i know one of my axle have one missing bolt... im pretty sure it come from the axle, i will have time to check it again monday

Hmm, maybe its not the bearing.
I thought it only started around 2500 in first.
But since it starts at 2500 in every gear its probably not a wheel bearing

If you don't. Have that lock ring on the drive axle. The axle will try to pop out. Will sooner or later it will but it will make a popping knocking sound.. and sometime the bearing in the cv joint goes bad or breaks and the axle will try to pop out there to. If those are used axles you don't know how hard the person was on them before you had them
