like it says I replaced the oil pan gasket with a piece of #%% cork gasket from autocrapzone and sure enough it started to leak again. could this be a engine seal or something else? The leak is right under the stupid flywheel shield so its really hard to see and replace. Have to remove the center bar to get to the oil pan. Any ideas
thanx for the help guys!!

first of all, there is no gasket for the oil pan. you are supposed to use a sealant called FIPG from toyota. you can get away with using blakc RTV also but im set on what i know works. i dont know what kind of micky mouse gasket autozone provided but its wrong!

ok we live and we learn. I took the oil pan off today. scraped all the rtv off and wiped it all down. The oil pan has noticable dimples at bolt holes is this from someone over torquing or are they supposed to be like that? Also any technique tips someone could offer up so I dont ever have to do this again! I know I should of planned to replace oil pump and stuff at the same time but just couldnt afford it right now. What else should I look at with the pan off? THANX

The gasket autozone gives you is a perfect match to the oil pan, I have it on mine and it works perfectly fine. Every bolt hole lines up and it is the right size and sealed perfect. Oh and if you didn't know when you start bolitng it back up you only have 3 minutes once putting the sealant on and start from the center alternating sides as you tighten. atleast that is what I was told and again my oil pan hasn't leaked.

well sealed the stupid oil pan and Ive got a small leak in the oil pump seal. Oh well have to live with that one. also I can see what I guess is diff. oil coming out above the flywheel shield! damn! Its really thick so dont think that its oil. Now I'll have to check diff. level and seee if its low. Celi starting to bum me out though!!!!!
