Hi all,

I hope someone can help me out here. I live in Australia and I am having trouble finding an oxygen sensor for my JDM 3rd Gen 3SGTE. The issue is, in Australia the GT4 model has a different oxygen sensor compared to the JDM.

AUSTRALIAN OXYGEN SENSOR (Brand: Bosch):
Single wire connector

JDM OXYGEN SENSOR (Original) The one for my car. I think from what I can read on the o2 sensor the part number is 89465-20370.
Four wire connector

and

Does any one have a working JDM o2 sensor for sale or knows where I can get one shipped to me?
Iv read else where that the part number is 89465-29725. Is that the correct one for me?

Regards,
Ramon

Totally off topic here (sorry); but isn't the alternator a weird place for an O2 sensor?

... or am I off my rocker?

LOL the down pipe runs very close to the alt, so toyota mounted the connector there.

the connector for the o2 sensor on my 7a is on the radiator.

Check out toyodiy.com. they'll give you a good parts #

i used a 2nd gen o2 sensor, you just need to swap the 3rd gen plug onto the 2nd sensor by cutting the 3rd gen plug off and solder it to the 2nd gen sensor. hope this helps.

dude for 140$ just get a wideband sensor like the AEM UEGO that has a very nice gauge...you can mount the gauge and the narrowband signal to the ECU... just throwin that out there dont know how the prices would be in australia but 140$ for a crappy o2 plug doesnt sound like a bargain to me...wideband plugs are about 15$ or so...

I didn't think of that at all... Thats perfect man. I can find one for a good price off ebay. Iv got the AEM boost gauge so it will match up nicely smile.gif
But yeh, here in Australia we get ripped off and it doesn't help being so far from the rest of the world lol.

Btw how is your car coming along?

popped an oil hose off the chinese oil filter relocator today...,y oil press seems a lil high but i think it might be just from the connector being bad...

I wish i could afford an aftermarket ecu but im pretty broke atm lol. Your lucky uv already got the fuel injectors to go with ur new ecu.
If i do get one it will probably be a Link G4 plug in ecu.
Check out the website below.
