So my car just hit the 200000 miles mark and I was wondering what kind of maintenance I would need if the original owner never changed any of the parts. Btw its an A/T

If your tranny is jumpy change the solenoids. Change the tranny filter. Change tranny fluid. (Let me say I neglected to do anything to tranny, and now its dead...so learn from that and make sure to keep it in tip top shape!)
Oil&Filter (I only use Toytota filters, you want that check valve!)
Spark plugs
Wires
Check all your seals.
Check your coolant, might be a good time to flush and refill.
Check the timing belt.
Intake filter
Cabin filter
Possibly new struts?
Possibly new sensors? (I know my Water Temp went out at 205k)
Check the motor mounts.
Basically do a once over on the whole car, and change what you think needs to be changed.

at 200,000 miles you need to list what you've already changed because there is a whole lotta things to change at that mileage if you haven't already done so.

General Maintenance wise.
Air Filter
Oil/Oil Filter
Transmission Filter/New Fluid (assuming your trans is still good and is automatic)
spark plugs/spark wires
distributor if still good, then just get rotor.
Timing belt, if going bad, might as well change the water pump.
Tie Rods/Endlinks, ball joints whatever is bad, but at least you can inspect if its needed (SUSPENSION)
Mounts if bad and shaking
coolant change
do you have any leaks anywhere?
brake pads are still good no?
check all fluid levels
so far no one mentioned fuel filter

Could be many things but spark plugs/wires, dizzy rotor, oil/oil filter, air filter, are pretty much the most commonly done, and of course, fuel filter.
General Maintenance, mostly is in the air, ignition, or fuel areas, and of course oils/fluids. Others are more of repair/replace already.

Im not too sure if our celicas have a cabin filter, the 7gc yes, but IDK about our cars, I'm pretty sure there wasn't something you can actually change out the filter.

NEVER change the fluid in an automatic transmission you don't know the history of. If it's never been changed, or has been a considerable time since it was changed, the transmission depends on the grit and grime. You remove the grit and grime with new fluid and filter=slipping transmission.

If you look at the dipstick and put a couple of drops of the tranny fluid on a white napkin. If it is brownish or smells nasty it needs changed
requardless of it's history. It will last longer than not changing at all.

What we thought too until we changed the trans fluid in my mom's minivan. Worked fine as it was, right after changing the fluid it started to slip. Wasn't that long before it wouldn't go at all. Can look this up on the internet, many people have had this happen to them.

I guess one option would be to drain all the fluid and drop the filter and place it all into a pan. Inspect it for grime build up and metal chips. If none of that is present proceed with new filter and fluid. If that is present, put the old fluid and filter back in and top it off.

I always thought this kind of an old mith. If you are using the proper fluid(weight), Brand or whatever our car calls for there should not be any reason for it to not run smoother. As long as you are not changing it because you feel a slight problem already I think some people do that trying to fix the tranny. There may be something to old dirty fluid could be thicker and give mabey a higher pressure but your tranny would be ready to go out anyways without notice then.
Just sayin.

At that point it depends on the grit and grime in the fluid. Gears have worn down, they need the grit in the fluid to engage. Take that away, and you have slippage.

Of course one way around this is to just get a car with a manual, since they tend to be looked after better.

Changed mine last month. Miles are 242k when I had it changed. At first, it grinds when I downshift from 4th to third if I shift too fast. Then I babied downshifting. Now it seems like it is back to normal.

Was speaking about auto transmissions, manuals are generally looked after. Also the grinding from 4 to 3 is probably the synchronizers, seems to be a common thing for Celicas. My uncle has had nine sixth gen Celicas, and five of them grinded downshifting into third. Even swapped transmissions once in one of them, only for the new one to start grinding downshifting into third. Of course can do what I do and just throw it into neutral most of the time instead of downshifting.
